not up to the hype

I am disappointed with this product after reading all the great reviews. I followed the directions to the letter, including taking fresh lemon juice to aid the reaction, etc. As the directions state, taking 2 more each night until reaching 3-5 bowel movements the next day. I am up to taking 16 pills, and have yet to have more than 2 BMs the following day, and have lost at most 1, maybe 2 lbs that I can directly attribute to this product, going from 245 to about 243. My stomach/intestines/bowels do make some noise, and true to form, my BMs are liquified. Word of warning…if you try this stuff and you feel the need to pass gas, do so at the very high risk of it not being just gas. Disgusting, I know, but I’m just being honest and trying to let you know what you are getting in to here.
I would have given one star, but since it did seem to help a little, I gave 2 stars.
As far as the shipping…I think I had the product 2-3 days after ordering, so no complaint there.

I did just what the directions said and all the cleanse did is give me the runs, not uncontrollable. I did not see anything abnormal or feel like it was doing what it claimed it does. For the money an expensive laxative!!!

So, what’s in this stuff?
I went on their website, and found a single ingredient listed: Magnesium oxide. Look it up on Wikipedia. Then look up enteroliths.
If you decide you still want to use this stuff on a regular basis, (i.e. you don’t mind the possibility of toxic levels of magnesium, wearing out your kidney, and growing bezoars in your gut), you may want to compare it to Milk of Magnesia. Just add a hydrogen molecule and some water. And deduct half the cost.

First, let me say that I wasn’t too keen on doing a review on this product. I mean, how much more personal can you get right here in front of millions of people? Geesh!
But, I have to say, that if it helps someone make a decision, or helps someone get the relief they are seeking, then I will.
I have suffered from constipation and colon problems my entire life. My entire focus every day is what to eat, drink or do *today* to make it better for the day. Probably 35 years of research & learning my own body has taught me what things make it better; what things make it worse. So, pay attention to your body! If I eat a banana, for example, I am DOOMED for at least a week as nothing short of dynamite is gonna help! Meat, dairy, flour..makes it ‘worse’ for me, too. Only you know what things to avoid.
However, I can truly say that I have purchased every product on the market and nothing has worked as well as this one does. I like that I take before bedtime, and have results in the morning. It isn’t perfect; isn’t quite the results that I would like to optimally have, hence the 4 stars, but it’s the ‘direction, not the perfection’ and is a huge difference.
I’m so glad to have finally discovered on Dr. Group’s website where he says some ingredients in colon cleansers make it worse (and he lists them) as that was a huge relief to read when all these years I’ve wondered what’s wrong with me?? – psyllium actually becomes like a brick in my intestines and does all the opposite as have most products! Thanks, Dr. G for stating that.
Even when I had a colonoscopy a few years ago and took the prescribed laxatives, it didn’t produce one single thing and I panicked because my body was not cleanly prepped for the procedure and yet I had followed the orders to the letter. How horrifyingly embarrassing.
I do like Mike Adams, the Health Ranger and receive his newsletter on [...]. He ‘endorses’ this product and for the most part, I feel he does his homework. For anyone who is concerned about the ingredients as a few reviews here state, I would advise contacting Dr. Group or Mike Adams with your questions. I think that is a good question!
Bottom (no pun intended LOL) line is..it works, and that is certainly a whole lot healthier for me than retaining it in my body!

I found this product back in 2004 and I fell in love with it. I have been suffering with constipation, lack of energy and just an uncomfortable feeling. But after taking this pills, I feel so much better. I did the 7 days cleanse and I do it every year. I am so happy to find this product!! I recommended to all my friends and they love it too!

I bought this prouct last week and I have to say it is so gentle!! I have used a variety of things do keep my system clean from Smooth Move (Senna Teas) to Enemas, Ducalux, Correctol, a little bit of everything in my whole life. I have to say I find that this product is a gentle combination of all of the high points I got from each. I am so glad I didnt let the negative reviews scare me away.
Now that I have addressed it’s strong points, it behoves me to point out some possible error that can be made. Firstly, any colon cleanser is basically a laxative however there are several forms of laxatives because everyone had different needs. You have stool softeners, hyperosmotic, lubricants, stimulants (the worst!), and bulk (metamucil). I find that this laxative is more like a hyperosmotic because it pulls water into the colon so that it will emulsify with …you know and then flush it out. Very similar to what enemas and hi colonics will do. The best part is when you take it right there shouldnt be many elements of discomfort.
What worked for me with this product was first carefully reading the instructions and associating them with my own tolerances. In the end I did the following and it has worked great:
1. I stop eating at least three hours before I take this product. First you wont fill hungry because as soon as you take it feels as if it is filling your stomach. If you are already full of food this will make you miserable.
2. Make sure you drink 16 oz of water with it at least what an hour or 30 minutes and drink another. Seeing that this product is hyperosmotic-like your key tool in making it work is water. If you dont you will be dehydrated.
3. Do the first two days on a weekend when you dont mind being at home so you can see how strong the effect will be. If your going to be out all day it’s not a good idea to take ANY laxative.
4. Adjust dosage accordingling. Seeing as I go back to work tomorrow and I dont want to be running for the toilet more than 3 or 4 times a day I am going to reduce to 2 until the clean is over.
If you didnt do any of the above it might be where you went wrong.
I also find that if you are particularly uhm…tight back there, drink a strong cup of coffee that morning. The caffeine in coffee is a vasoconstricter and it will for lack of better words give you a little more room to move.

This product is one in a line of many that we have tried in order to help our boy with chronic constipation. He is on the autism spectrum, and like many of these kids, has gut issues. After trying for two years to balance his system, I am happy to say that this product has been the leading contributor to his improvement in regularity. It doesn’t taste great, but we mix it with lemonade to make it go down easier. After hearing many parents recommend this product, I’m glad we gave it a chance because it has given us a better quality of life. My boy is healthier, no doubt.

I did Dr. Groups initial 5-day cleanse with this product. I now (maintenance) just use the oxy-powder every other day (2-3 pills). If I eat a really horrible meal then I’ll take 4 pills before bed. This stuff will keep you regular. I experienced cramps the first two BM of the the cleanse and none since then. I’m ordering my fourth bottle today. I took a chance and liked the out come (no pun intended) maybe you will too.

This is a great product that I have tried before and just loved. It really does what is says it does…a great colon cleanser, but not too harsh. I feel much better when I am taking this stuff.

This stuff is the best. I have chronic intestinal issues and regular laxatives cause me too much pain. I have used Oxypowder for really great colon cleanses and also daily management. I definitely recommend playing with the dosages and finding out what is right for you. Also, I wouldn’t use it for weight loss, though I usually lose a couple of pounds when doing a cleanse. Drink lots of water and eat things that are easy to digest when using it for a cleanse. Otherwise, it has actually improved my life in that I have more energy since I can get things to move though my system better when needed. Don’t know what I would do without it!

So far I took it for 3 days 4 capsules a day and it worked right the next morning. I went to the bathroom 3 – 4 times. I feel my stomach is smaller and I lost about 3 pounds (from 115 to 112) You can work Ok, it doesn’t make you go to the bathroom all day long. Only after you eat (so be ready especially after breakfast)

I’ve suffered from constipation for several years, even gone 3 weeks before with no bowel movement at all! and after trying pretty much everything ( Colonix, Natures Secret Super Cleanse, Fiber formulas, colon hydrotherapy, cascara, senna, aloe lax, Natural Calm etc. etc.) this is the product that is helping me the most. I don’t get any more cramping or other discomfort than I did with senna or cascara, and every day I get rid of a little more than the previous b.m. My situation was caused by cassein and gluten intolerance, which I just recently discovered. Also tension is a culprit, massage can help. And my toxicity headaches went away after replacing my old silver fillings in my teeth. There is a significant amount of mercury in those. There’s my experiences with this abdominal curse, hope it helps someone!
