Quantum Wellness Cleanse The 21Day Essential Guide to

The most ordinarily reported digestive scheme problem is constipation. Constipation occurs when the faecal matter is condensed and compressed and evacuation becomes infrequent and difficult. A constipated system is one in which the time for toxic material to be got rid of from the body is slow and the consistency of the stool causes strain. The longer the remotion time the longer toxic material sits in your colon and the longer your body is exposed to rotting feed and the toxins that they develop and therefore the more outstanding the peril of formulating disease.

Even with one bowel motion a day you may still have at least three meals worth of waste sitting in your colon. During evacuation hard stools place a strain on the colonic muscles and the lining of the lower share of your colon, rectum and anus. Constipation and straining contributes to the development of hemorrhoids. The stagnant feed in your bowel create poisonous gasses and these gasses enter your bloodstream, irritating your organs and joints. The frequency of bowel actions varies but you must have amidst one and four actions a day. They will have to be a brownish color, soft and grainy and pass easily.

When the toxic matter builds up in your intestines and becomes impacted the shape and function of the intestines is affected. The intestines will:

  • balloon in sure areas or
  • develop diverticula (pouches on the intestinal wall) or
  • fall in on itself (called a prolapse).

All of these situations will principally influence your intestines capacity to function – which will place a great strain on your digestive organs. Some of the sensations or changes that are affiliated with a blocked or slow moving bowel are:

  • pains in the back, neck and shoulders, wrists and hands,
  • fatigue and standard sluggishness and lethargy,
  • colds and flu,
  • skin problems,
  • mental fogginess,
  • many headaches and
  • difficulty with thinking and remembering.

There are five major components that need to be considered when you have sluggish elimination from your bowel.

  • Are you getting sufficient fiber in your diet? Fiber is the bulk that allows the fecal matter to readily pass along the intestines and be eliminated. When there is insufficient fiber in the diet the motion is slowed. Fiber likewise provides nutrition for your bowel flora (the micro-organisms that live in your bowel). If these ‘good’ bacteria are well fed with sure types of plant fibers they construct a substance called mammalian lignan which increments your resistance to infectious agents and cancer
  • Are you drinking sufficient pure water? It is difficult to overstate the importance of pure water. Water is necessary to life and it is in general commended that we drink 8 – 10 glasses of water each day to maintain our health and if you are detoxifying your body you may need more. About 70 – 75% of our body is water. Water is indispensable for aiding the skin and kidneys in removing toxins and it stimulates and flushes the liver. It likewise softens the feces and helps waste pass speedily through our intestines.
  • Does your diet include high quality necessary fatty acids? Essential fatty acids are necessitated by each cell in the body to make the cell wall and to burn for energy. Without necessary fatty acids cells do not work, organs die prematurely and brain function deteriorates. Our body can not make them we have to get them from our diet or nutritional supplements. The necessary fatty acids play a role in hormone and immune system function – both of which are necessary for bowel health. Our hormones (particularly or thyroid hormones) activate motion in your intestinal muscles to support in digestion and elimination. Our immune scheme protects the rest of our body from toxic substances and pathogenic micro-organisms that may other than as supposed or expected pass from the bowel to the rest of the body. There are two indispensable types of necessary fatty acids – Omega 3 and omega 6 and it is crucial that these are balanced.
  • Do you listen to your body when nature calls? Paying attention when nature calls is indispensable for the smooth function of our bowels. If you repeatedly ignore the urge to eliminate you interfere with the body’s capacity to respond appropriately and sooner or later your body will not be capable to function without artificial stimulation. When you chew your feed you set off a series of chemical and electrical events which activate peristalsis. Peristalsis is the muscle contraction that propels feed along your digestive tract and feces out of your body. To concede for the body’s natural rhythms and concede for easy elimination it is helpful to be near to a bathroom for when it comes to an hour after eating.
  • Do you get sufficient exercise? All of the muscles in your body respond well to suitable exercise – this includes the muscles that are a part of your digestive tract. One study of a group of humans over 65 years showed that those that had regular exercise had more ordinary and less difficult bowel movements than those who did not have regular exercise.

Laxatives are used to induce a bowel action and keep out of the way of constipation. They may over stimulate the bowel muscle and lining of the bowel leading to spasm and irritation. In the long term they cause dilation (enlargement) and permanent harm to the bowel – for this reason they will have to not be used on a regular basis. Strong laxative herbs will have to only be applied for severe constipation (it is better to deal with the underlying problem than to use these herbs regularly). However if you are seriously constipated and you need a one-time good clean out you could undertake this herbal combination:

  • Anise seed – 1 part
  • Fennel seed – 1 part
  • Milk thistle – 5 parts
  • Dandelion root – 5 parts
  • Psyllium hulls – 5 parts
  • Rhubarb root (not the home grown variety) – 5 parts
  • Senna- 3 parts

You may get these herbs as dried powder and make up the mixture. Take ½ teaspoon as a single dose. If this is insufficient then increase the dose (very slightly) until you get the desired result. You may likewise simmer the herbs in water for 15 minutes – grant 1 teaspoon of the mixture to a cup of water and commence taking ½ a cup at a time. Remember this mixture holds senna – an intestinal irritant and must not be used long term. It is to be applied as a one off clean out. You need to work on altering the underlying troubles that caused the constipation and not rely on using purgatives.

Case Study: Constipation

Alice, 17 years old and was bothered by constipation and painful menstrual periods. She was capable to move her bowels only each three or four days. Her diet was poor and included a lot of white bread, sugary and fatty foods and dairy products.

Her treatment included:

  • a alter to her diet to remove all processed foods and she was to eat fresh fruit and vegetables and occasional fish.
  • multivitamin and solid homogeneous inorgani substances supplement,
  • increasing her fiber,
  • taking probiotics to restore her beneficial bowel bacteria,
  • digestive enzyme supplements and
  • a program to cleanse her bowel and her liver.

After one month she was capable to move her bowels each one or two days and there had been no problem with her period. After another month on the program she was capable to move her bowels each day and the freedom from amount of time troubles continued.

One of the main reasons for toxicity building in our bodies and our digestion not being as effective as it might be is affiliated to the foods that we regularly eat. We many times eat foods which integrate chemicals that are toxic to our systems, are low in nourishment providing value and are going to slow the motion of material through our digestive tract. All of these things will lead to a toxic colon and body. To discover how to be free from constipation for life Get your copy of Safe Colon Cleansing: Your Good Health Guide.

5This cleanse will truly JUMP START your life!!!
By LovingLife
I first read Kathy’s book, Quantum Wellness, and was very moved by all that Kathy has to say and how kindly and non-judgementally she expresses herself and the ideas in her book. She urges people to live a more happy and healthy life, through living, thinking, and eating consciously. It wasn’t until this book came into my life, that I really decided to do the 21 Day Cleanse. I have never done anything better for myself and I thank Kathy so much for this.

The “cleanse” is not really a cleanse in the way that celebrities and news people are talking about today. I view it more as a meal plan, which takes the stigma out of cleansing or dieting, as it really is what her cleanse is about. Once I got over the initial, “What on earth will I do without caffeine, animal products, and sugar?!” I went to the grocery store and stocked up on everything that Kathy suggests. There was SO much that I could eat, and I didn’t even get everything the first-go round. (I highly recommend having all of the foods on hand so that you don’t want to fall back to old habits….this makes doing the cleanse super easy!)

I have never slept better in my life, and wake up with so much energy and ready to take on the world. No caffeine necessary. (after the first few days or so….) My skin looks so much better (I keep getting so many compliments on how I am glowing) and I feel amazing. Not to mention the fact that I have already lost 4 pounds and all of my clothes fit better. I look and feel great; mind, body, and spirit.

If you want to change your life for the better (or just lose weight, or just feel good!), I HIGHLY recommend this book and this cleanse. And if you can’t do 21 days, do 7 days or whatever you can, as Kathy recommends. Trust me, it’s the best thing you’ll ever do.

Thanks!!!

4Quantum shift in food focus was an excellent kickstart
By Lee Andrews
Heard about this book on the TV morning news, but I’m not an Oprah fan so I did not rely on her promotion of the book. The phrase “Quantum cleanse” grabbed me — I needed a kick in the pants lifestyle change; I’m not one for slow gradual programs. So I just did a cold turkey start two weeks ago — no alcohol, no caffeine, no glutens, no sugar, no animal products. I’m in my final week. Sleeping better, more energy all day long (no 4-5pm tiredness) and lost 6lbs in the first 10 days. Note — I did not read much if any on the spiritual/mind/meditation aspects of the book. Not for me. I just went straight to the food focus and (limited) recipes. Had a three-day headache from dropping caffeine, then no problems. The “no gluten” rule is the hardest one to work into the program because it is in too many things I like. Try quinoa — excellent food and super nutritious. I’m not into self-help books and I was not sure how a former Ford model would be an expert in such things, but hey — I commend her as it worked for me. If only for the food part of the book — I am recommending it to my friends and colleagues. I’m sure a ton of other health/diet books have the same “drop it” rules, but this is the one book that actually got me doing it, so kudo 5 stars for the food rules (but only 3 stars for the other spiritual stuff).

4Very do-able cleanse
By W. Hooper
This book takes a common sense approach to healthy cruelty-free eating. It also addresses a lot of the weak points in the diets of many Americans such as alcohol, caffeine, sugar, meat and dairy etc. If you can give up these things for 21 days you may just be able to give them up forever. The menus at the end are very sensible and do not include any extremes in calorie restrictions. The only thing that didn’t “click” with me were the meditation exercises but you can substitute your own way of meditating. I would recommend this book to people new to cleanses or to someone considering going vegan.

  1. Love this book
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Great information and very well written. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 27 years. This book is motivating me to take my health up a notch and to ease into even better health than I’m experiencing now.

  2. My purchased book came quickly .
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I was completely satisfied my used book came quickly and was in great shape for a used book. I saved money by getting a used book instead of a new one and the book I received was as good as new.

  3. Cleanse your life!!!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The Quantum Wellness Cleanse is such a well-written, easy to read, life changing book! This book and this cleanse will absolutely change your life and lead you to better health, a more conscious way of living, and an easier way to look at yourself and how you view the world.

Kathy Freston has such a lovely way of writing that she makes you feel like she’s your friend, hanging with you on the couch; without judgement in any way. In this book, Kathy urges you to be kind to yourself and others and to just “lean into” change, so that you don’t end up feeling frustrated by any changes that you may or may not want to implement into your life. This book brings to light so many subjects (health, nutrition, animals, meditation, spirit) that are told in such a beautiful way that I have never heard before. It opened my mind and my heart and truly changed me into a better person, just by reading the words.

I am so excited to try the cleanse, and have heard amazing things about it from friends. I have already dropped caffeine and chicken from my diet and am ready to take on the other items, by “leaning” in to it!

Such a great book and an amazing gift to give to someone—or to do together!

  4. Not just a diet book
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am not sure what my goal was when I purchased this book, but as I read it, it became apparent that it was so much more than another cleansing diet as it jogged my feelings concering how I feel about food. What my individual responsibility is in choosing what I eat. And as I read the book I realized how mindless and clueless we all are about what we are eating, and no wonder we are sick. I do know that I can’t look at a piece of pork the way I used to.

I also feel now that it is not only a good thing to buy organic, but it is my responsibility so that we can show the food industry what we really want.

What has all this got to do with a Quantum Wellness Cleanse, read it and find out.

    L.H.

  6. Probably good but I did not stick with it.
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
You have to give up a lot at one time. I am going to go over it and maybe give it another try. The author says you can do it to the extent that you can and maybe add more as you go. I may be able to do it that way, but until I give it a full try, I can’t say much. If you want good health and are good at sticking to plans…then go for it.

  8. Fantastic Read, Life Changing Grate Service too.
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This book is fantastic and has kick starting a life change for me. It’s been what I have searched for.

The seller was prompt and the product was in mint condition.

  9. wellness is the key
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Ok…I have not officially started this cleanse. But plan to in October… too many commitments and distractions in September that would get in the way.

The book is easy to read and answers most every question I could have thought of while reading it.

I will be re-reading it while going through my cleanse :)

The cleanse is certainly a “do-able”, though I won’t be giving up my morning cup of coffee!

  10. informative
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Ms Freston puts in layman’s terms what is really behind the foods we eat – from the growing, to the harvesting, to the table.

She incorporates that body, mind and spirit all work together for a complete wellness. Although the 21-day cleanse may be a dramatic change in most people’s routine behavor, she gives us the OK to “lean” into changes as we work toward complete wellness. This includes weaning off caffeine, glutton, animal products, alcohol and sugar. Her arguments for each of these is enough to give it a try – no matter how many small steps it takes.

  11. Life-changing!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This book does not disappoint!! It offers daily words of encouragement, information, and assistance to help you adapt for those 21 days. I recommended to this unique book to anyone who wants to renew their eating lifestyle at least for 21 days. You can also use some of this wonderful, awakening knowledge for the rest of your life.

  12. Great book on healthy lifestyle
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This book does a great job of providing practical guidance on healthy life style. It focuses a lot on healthy eating. Everyone wants to be happy and being health is one part of it. This book suggests eating healthy, taking proper sleep and all this makes you feel more energetic. But being happy needs a balance in lot of things. On balanced lifestyle i came across a book Mylife Framework: A Model For A Successful Life Based On The Yoga Principles. Check it out.

  13. Quantum Wellness Cleanse: The 21 Day Essential Guide to Healing Your Mind, Body, and Spirit
