5This stuff really works
By my two cents
The minute I start feeling early symptoms of a cold, I start chugging this plus Echinecea supplements. Within a day or two, the symptoms are gone. If I’m already sick, I take this and the cold goes away faster. It tastes pretty good. You can make hot or cold drinks with it. I’ve only tried it cold and it’s not grainy or gross at all. It’s almost like a fruit flavored drink. I have friends who like to make it into a kind of tea and it works for them. So far, everyone I know who has tried this product has loved it.

5Never leave home without it!
By A. Alvey
I am an avid fan of Emergen-C. I do my best to get in 2 a day. I started taking them when I was on a new diet. I was going to a clinic and the nurses recommended them to ensure that I got all of my daily vitamins. Your body absorbs vitamins much more this way rather than taking the huge horse pills. The clinic also recommend them to help curb headaches. I was giving up my beloved ‘Diet Coke’ and this was the only thing that made it possible. Plus the B vitamins really boost your metabolism.
These are also great when you feel a cold coming on. They really help to boost your immune system. I never leave home without Emergen-C! I always have a stash in my purse!

I’ve liked all of the flavors I have tried so far. I love mixing them with Crystal light or something similar. With the Raspberry I mix this with the Lemonade Crystal Light and made it Raspberry Lemonade. It’s delicious. I’ve also put it in with Diet Sprite and it was very good.

  1. Love EmergenC, not this flavor
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I am a die-hard fan of EmergenC. Have been for 6 years, take it every day. And whenever there is a new flavor / product, I try it right away. But this flavor is not pleasant. It reminds me of some foul medicine I took as a child. The efficacy is probably the same as all other versions, but I’m still trying to use this one up (after a round of Acai, I get three days with orange or raspberry as a reward). I feel great, haven’t had a cold all winter, but I can’t wait until this box is empty so I can buy another flavor!

  2. My favorite flavor, kind of grape-like
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
One reviewer said this tastes like a pine tree. I’ve tasted pine needles, and they are very bitter! Maybe s/he means it tastes like a pine tree smells… but I’m not sure.. Anyway, I’ve tried many of the flavors of Emergen-C and I drink several everyday. This one does have a very “aromatic” taste, more like an exotic grape flavor to my thinking, very tasty and “bright”. I find myself choosing this flavor above all others. Worth tasting, even if you don’t think pine trees taste good (ick, seriously!).

  3. Dreadful.
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The taste is awful–this coming from someone who drinks green sludge for breakfast–I have a stomach for unusual flavors. Also, it’s a flavor and doesn’t even have the benefits of acai. Why would they do this? They make other good flavors, try to get a sample of this one to make sure you like it before buying! Blech!!

  4. Meh
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This product was 8.00 at walmart, I saw on websites and on the news that Acai Berry diet was the greatest thing! I don’t need the diet part so I don’t use to it’s full dosage, I use this for energy to help me be more productive and less exhausted. I was super excited to try it and it said on the container had a great taste! Yea okay who are they fooling??? This stuff tasted DISGUSTING! It smelt like a shirt sat in the rain so long it molded! After it mixed with the water it wasn’t AS bad. It did stink up my house though! I have so far used this product for 3 days now and I can honestly say it’s a great product! Besides the rechid smell and taste, and it does taste better than it smells. I have been crazy productive! And did not feel as if I were going to pass out in the middle of trying to get something done.

    FYI:

If you add a low calorie sweetener to it like sweet n low it takes away the bitter and stomach souring.

  5. Taste is bad, but still does the job
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The taste of this one is awful. I love the flavor of Acai but this one just has an odd taste and a worse aftertaste. I’m sure it still works as well as the other Emergen-Cs, if you can stomach the taste.

  6. It helps
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Being a smoker, (sorry), it gives me the extra Vitamin C That is depleted from smoking fine cigars..also helps in the cold department..haven’t had one in years

  7. PDaniels
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This is for people like me who did not read the description, that was not there. THIS IS FLAVORED. It does not contain Acai Berry. This flavor is not the best.

  8. Love the flavor
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
These are basically powdered vitamins. You mix it with water, very easy to take as your not choking on those godzilla size pills. The flavor is great, my only complaint is why do they need to make it have that fizz taste. It would have been perfect without the fizz, that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

  9. Horrible taste, good product
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I am a fan of Emergen-C, in general, but this flavor leaves a bitter aftertaste that is still with me hours, or even a day later. This bitter aftertaste interferes with the taste of everything else I consume later on. If you combine this drink within hours of taking a zinc lozenge, the effect is even worse.

  10. nice boost of vitamin C
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I really like these. Put in a bottle of water and shake it up. Tastes good and is a good dose of vitamin C. I drink these during cold and flu season and feel it has helped me to stay well.

  11. Great Health & Energy Booster w/Acai powder
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I travel to Asia frequently and this has worked wonders for offsetting jet-lag fatigue and cold symptoms. I recently felt I pick up something on the plane–scratchy throat, sneezing, runny noise–but within 12 hours and 4 packets of the Emergen-C Super Energy Booster, I had no symptoms left. Within 24 hours (3 more packets) I had great energy. The Acai flavor was unusual at first, but is like a tart berry taste. I now would prefer it to others, as I am not a “sweets” person. If you read the contents on the back of the packet, you will see that it Does contain Acai juice powder, although not as much as some of the other contents. The B6 (10mg) and B12 (25mcg) add to the boost! I intend to keep it with me when ever I travel in the future.

  12. Makes a nice supplement drink
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
We’ve been mixing this with cold water and our calcium powder to use as a supplement drink. We like to use it especially during the winter months for added support. At this point,I guess my only negative comments would be the cost…I find it a bit pricey in comparison to other forms of nutritional supplementation and the fact that the acai is only ‘flavoring’ not the actual berry essence.

  13. Works– but smells foul
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This product has the same effect true to the Emergen-C product line, and tastes fine but smells quite unpleasant. I normally prepare my Emergen-C packets with hot water vice cold because I’m not huge on the fizzy effect which goes away using hot water, and when I’m feeling like I’m about to get a cold or get sick, the warmth of the drink is soothing. When I first prepared this drink, my family INSTANTLY began searching around the house because they were convinced that my cat had urinated somewhere in the room… I thought it might have been a possibility, too, until I took some in to my office. Again, my co-workers expressed that it smelled foul, like an animal had urinated somewhere on the floor. Eventually, they walked over to my cube and after sniffing at my coffee mug with Acai Berry flavored Emergen-C in it, found the culprit. Maybe it only smelled like this because I make it with hot water, but I won’t be bringing this flavor to work any time soon… Bottom line: It works, it tastes fine, it just doesn’t smell great.

  14. Nasty taste
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I thought it would be more like a blackcurrant flavor but it’s worse. Like the previous reviewer, I think that the lemonade and raspberry flavors are much better.

On the other hand, it seems to do what it says it will do… I didn’t get my usual pneumonia last winter, probably because I kept this and the lemonade flavor in my desk at work and had one a day.

And you gotta love that this is half the price of anywhere else!
