5Great Book! Not only my face rejuvenated, but my body, mind and spirit!
By Barbara Falberg
I got this book several months ago. I am amazed by the information provided from this book as well as the results from these ancient techniques and rituals.

I followed some of the protocols from the book including making myself the Pear Mask and practicing the Energy Ball Qi Gong exercise. My face Just Glowed instantly! Not only does my face look younger, but I feel more calm and energetic!

Anyone in their late 50s like me and considers rejuvenating their face, body, mind and spirit naturally rather than a chemical approach should consider trying some of these time-tested none-invasive natural methods.

I consider this book a great investment towaeds natural prevention of aging.

2Ck Nefeli Website for Book’s Before & After Pix
By NHBunion
This book sounded wonderful from the 4 reviews I read, but I checked the Nefeli website, & discovered before & after pix from this book. I was dismayed to see the dramatic difference in those pix are results of lighting conditions.

Most of the “before” shots show obvious shadows behind & slightly below each person’s head, or under their chin–compared to the “after” shot where the light is totally different. You can easily see the difference in light placement by noticing the reflection in the eyes. Manipulating lighting creates dramatic differences in shadows cast on the face, resulting in aging affects. Ever notice the poor lighting in retail stores? It’s the same effect when you’re in their dressing rooms, or look in retail store mirrors.

The most flattering lighting is horizontally level with your mid-face, whereas overhead lighting casts unflattering shadows, accentuating lines & sagging.

It’s a shame they had to resort to lighting “tricks” to sell this book. I can’t help thinking of Dr. Perricone’s books, I thought his program was wonderful–his skin looked terrific! Then I read about his having had a FACE LIFT! Buyer beware.

  1. Anti Aging Therapy by Dr. Ping Zhang
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am truly grateful for the gift that Dr.Ping Zhang has bestowed upon her readership through her comprehensive research spanning thousands of years of eastern medicine. The concept of self healing in an integrative fashion allowing for the optimizing of the mind body soul connection is reflected in the pages of this book. The information is referenced in such a way that one can learn and apply principles of nutrition, qi gong, including self massage, conscious movement, and breath work, with direction and focus to produce a feeling of well being and synchrony. One can experience the compassion, knowledge base, and dignity of this practitioner as the fuel to motivate the practice of the principles that are referenced. My patients and I have borne witness to the dedication, and comprehensive care and dedication that direct both her practice and her writing.

  3. Almost Perfect
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
TCM=Traditional Chinese Medicine and it works! Accupressure really helps my skin glow, amazing. (Just a couple of days of doing the accupressure exercises, I began receiving compliments like, “you’re skin has a beautiful texture, what have you been doing?”)

My qualms with the book? What do you think of using a Pig’s Foot Mask on your face? That’s right, the book talks of boiling and cutting a pigs foot which, refrigerated, you’re supposed to apply to your face over night!

Eating Bone Soup is also suggested in this book. Eating meat and/or killing animals just so I can look good just doesn’t sound right.

Besides, boiled bones to fight wrinkles? Staying away from meat is best. Meat has fats and these days hormones and chemicals that are bad for the skin, let alone everything else in the body. Insted, eat fruits and vegetables (drink lots of water too) and make your skin look gorgeous.

  4. Attractive and Interesting
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It is amazing to see the apparent youthfulness of older practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine and qigong. Most people had assumed that it was ethnic, but it’s now becoming clear that it is a consequence of their health practices, that keep them active and looking young, well past middle age.

If the eyes are the windows of the soul, then the face reflects your heart and mind. Shakespeare said, “For by his face straight shall you know his heart,” and that is one of the guiding principles of this book. Like Shakespeare, the book tells us that the face reflects the inner you. And conversely, what you do to your face has effects deep inside you. Follow the program and make deep changes inside yourself that will be reflected in your face, your posture and the way that you walk.

This book is a wonderful compendium of tried and tested techniques for improving not just appearance, but the deep causes of age related changes. As a general principle, if something is going to do you good, it should affect multiple systems of your mind and body. The acupressure, stress management and natural techniques in this book should indeed help your appearance, but what is far more important is that they will have significant effects on your whole mind and body.

Though there is so far very little scientific research into the methods and techniques presented in this book, there is a ton of practical experience to show us that they work, and you should be able to prove it to yourself.

    Highly recommended.

  7. Review for Anti-Aging therapy

No much information for someone who knows Chinese herbal medicine. Don’t be of much used to someone with no knowledge of Chinese Herbs

  8. On the cutting edge WITHOUT the CUTTING
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Many women like myself are not happy with how time, gravity, poor diet, having children, not enough exercise or too much of the wrong kind of exercise and STRESS damages our face. Plastic surgery is very expensive, can be dangerous and unpredictable. It’s refreshing to have a woman put time into researching a natural approach to anti-aging techniques. This book has given me knowledge and tools that are healthy which I can do on my own. Ping Zhang has pulled together all the aspects of life that adversely affects our skin and made this natural approach easy, if you are willing to put the time and effort into it. Her information on what to eat, how to exercise and massage your own face couldn’t be more simple! I’m looking forward to using her products which will make my life simpler. Asian women have beautiful skin and I believe it has to do with how they manage their stress, using breathing and meditation techniques. Also how healthy their diets are and how they incorporate a spiritual aspect in all that they do. Even if you are unsure about having acupuncture, Ping gives many acupressure points that address the unsightly lines and bags and sags. I am delighted how I will be saving money by using her natural products and her non-invasive protocol instead of all the other unhealthy gimmicks that are out on the market. My $25.95 investment is an investment in MYSELF. Thank You Ping for all your hard work!!

I’ve probably read anti-aging books , and “Anti-Aging Therapy: How to Clear Away the Wrinkles & Rejuvenate Your Face by Ping Zhang”is undoubtedly the most effective and authentic one yet. Everyone who values their body and personal well being should read this book. Just read this book and truly help yourself.

  10. Excellent, practical
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Very good sections on acupressure, chinese herbal treatments and food. Chinese red dates (da zao) are really good for eliminating hunger, although laxative.

Excellent tip found in this book: wash your face with water and some drops of vinegar. Best cleanser for me, as almost any cleanser causes me skin rash or allergy, especially around my eyes.

My tip for beauty: deep massage all around your trapezium and platisma (they pull your face down). You will look 10 years younger when they are relaxed as levator muscles in your face will be able to pull your face up.Best way to rejuvenate facial contour without surgery lifting.

I love this book. First, it’s very interesting to just read. And, thankfully, all the procedures that Dr. Zhang describes are amazingly easy to implement. I know; I’ve tried enough of them to see huge results – and in an amazingly short time.

    Sometimes in just days.

I’ve seen dark circles under my eyes vanish, this in just one day’s use of the recommended eye cream. The texture of my skin has become clearer and glowing; I get compiments all the time about my complexion. Wrinkles have greatly diminished too. I could go on. But I suggest you get this book and see for yourself the benefits of a holistic approach – based on Chinese medicine – to looking and feeling better.

  13. One of a kind !!!!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a beautifully written and in-depth “how-to” book for women of all ages. Anyone interested in natural, non-traditional Eastern medicine will find this book a fascinating read!!

Dr. Zhang gives an incredible amount of information in her book. She explains how spirituality, foods, Chinese herbs, and acupressure, to give a few examples, benefit health and beauty. It is left to the reader to pick a comfortable level of involvement. You can try acupressure or home-made herbal masks, or jump right in with, say, Chinese herbal remedies.

This book is a must-have for all women who take their health seriously, but don’t believe in Botox or cosmetic surgery!!!

  14. Too complicated
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This book is way too complicated for a regular person. Some of the items mentioned to either eat or use for an anti-wrinkle treatments (such as pigs feet or different fungi) are things that I would never use. I think the only way you could achieve most of these things is by purchasing her Nefeli cosmetic line, which is not cheap. The accupressure points are also very confusing. I would not have purchased this had I known this.
