Tastes Like It Should

Trust me- that’s a high compliment.
I like hot beverages all day long- but not caffeinated ones too close to bedtime. So you’ll always find some of this stuff in my pantry.
Is the taste wonderful? No. Does it taste exactly liek Rooibos? You bet. Don’t look for any fancy mango or vanilla here- this is pure, un-fooled around with rooibos. If you like rooibos, take advantage of this price and stock up. If you dont, you’ll never finish the six-pack.
And remember- this is naturally caffeine free! If you think decaf teas taste like sludge, taste this for something uncaffeinated that’s totally different.

Excellent tea, especially iced!

I have drank very many types of Rooibos teas over the past couple of years and Twinings, so far, is my favorite. It’s great hot or cold and especially iced! I like to drink it with a packet of Sugar in the Raw over crushed ice with just a dash of lemon. Really smooth and refreshing! It isn’t very strong tea so if that’s your thing I would use 2 or 3 bags per serving. It’s caffeine free so it’s ok to do that. Try it out and you’ll see!

Not my cup of tea

Tea is very subjective. If you are looking for a tea that does not taste like Rooibos but more like black tea then this may be perfect for you. As a forty something Afrikaner who has drunk tea his whole life I’m not a big Twinings fan. Numi is an easy to find brand of Rooibos teabag and I much prefer the flavor to the Twinings offering. If you want the tea bags they buy and drink in South Africa buy the Freshpak here on AmazonFreshpak Rooibos Tea 80 tagless bags (2 x Pack) . If you want “real” tea you’ll need a kettle and a tea pot. I use 3 tablespoons of Davidson’s Organic Rooibos Davidson’s Tea Bulk, Organic South African Rooibos, 16-Ounce Bagin a 1.3l pre heated teapot. Making the tea with freshly drawn boiling hot (212°f/100°c) water and a Swissgold filter Swissgold TF 200 Tea Ball. Let sit under a tea cozy for 5 minutes. Then you will taste a true cup of Rooibos made right.

Rooibos is an interesting red tea from africa which cannot actually be over-steeped which makes it great for people who are scatter-brained like me.
This sampler is great because it lets you try just a little bit of 6 types of rooibos tea before you dive into a larger purchase of this lesser-known tea type, plus the tins are the perfect size or traveling

I decided to get experimental and try this one. I found that even though the tea was fresh and of great quality, I just don’t enjoy this kind of tea.
My wife, however, keeps it stocked in our house, as she enjoys it from time to time.

The Vendor shipped this product quickly and it was as pictured and described. I like being able to sample a bunch of different teas. So far I have tried 3. The Mixed Berry when cold tastes as good as Starbuck’s Tea and costs a LOT less.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the smell. It is very good tea, I have never tasted anything like it, but it took a while for me to get over the smell. It’s not a horrible smell, it’s just something you have to get used to.

I’ve only recently switched over to loose leaf tea only I had never bought from this company before, but I definitely will be making larger purchases after trying this little sampler. I had gotten it so that I may try rooibos, since I’d never had it before, and this was perfect for me. It was shipped quickly and even my husband was impressed when I had him try it.
