Making your own herbal tea bags may save you a ton of cash if you have been buying your favorites in tea bags at the grocery or tea shop. We have a few great tips to share with you so you may give rise to your own delicious fillable herbal style tea bags at home. The firstborn step is to find a lot of empty, fillable tea bags. These are commonly available at a local tea shop and are sold by 50 or 100 tea bags in a lot. They will only set you back a couple of dollars. Most of these fillable tea bags have a fold over top and a wide opening, making it easy for you to fill your own herbal tea bags with ease. Now, take a moment and think of your bestloved herbal tea. Is it fruity and spicey? Maybe an apple cinnamon herbal tea takes your fancy, or perhaps you like minty and soothing, like a sleepy tea, then peppermint chamomile is the one for you! Only you may determine the best blend for you. It is mutual to have herbal teas blended with black, green or white tea as well, if you wish to blend loose tea with your herbs, just make sure you have some on hand. So, let’s say you like apple cinnamon teas. Just take a 1/2 teaspoon of loose black tea, add 1/4 teaspoon of dried apple, and 1/4 inch of a cinnamon stick. Now fold over your tea bag and you are ready to go! You may apply this technique to any type of herbal tea you like. No need to compensate a high price for purchased herbal teas, just experiment and you will develop galore awful herbal teas, and be proud to know you blended them yourself. |

Good Teas Overall, But Tazo Disappoints

Tazo Assorted Black and Green Teas and Herbal Infusions includes one or two of each:
AWAKE: plain ordinary black tea, a little bitter
CALM: nice chamomile tea
CHAI BLACK TEA: an okay chai black tea with caffeine
CHINA GREEN TIPS: great green tea experience, Tazo’s best, no “natural flavorings”
DECAFFEINATED CHAI: an okay chai black tea without caffeine
EARL GREY BLACK TEA: a disappointing perfumy, intense, black tea experience
LOTUS: decaf green tea with lotus flower, one of my favorite Tazo’s
PASSION HERBAL INFUSION: hibiscus-y, intense, caffeine-free, and luxurious
WILD SWEET ORANGE: orange herbal tea, some complex overtones perhaps
ZEN: mild, relaxed green tea

I agree with most points in Ms Brown’s review. I have to admit that Tazo always seemed to me to be just a marketing ploy to get us to pay more for regular tea. After trying this sampler, my opinion hasn’t been swayed much. However, the teas in this pack are quite pleasant and do seem to have more intense flavor compared to other commercial bagged teas. What impressed me was how quickly the Tazo infuses and how rich the colors are! The Passion tea makes a deep, beet-red infusion! This makes me wonder if Tazo is impregnating their leaves with food-coloring or other additives. If you open the packet of Earl Grey, you will see for yourself that the teabag itself is stained with a yellow coloring. The tea tastes good, but if you’re a tea purist, this may seem like cheating. I have no proof so I’ll leave it to you to decide. After a tasting you might not care afterall. Personally, I like the tea, but I don’t achieve Nirvana from it.

Great teas! I have bought several of the variety packs and have been impressed with the quality of the tea for the price. However, I have also had problems getting the filter to stay in once the water is hot (see reviews for other items with this cup). Filter will stay down when cold water is in it but when the water gets hot in the microwave it floats up and you have to push it down with a spoon for awhile to get it to stay. Or if you boil water on the stove and then pour it in the cup, the filter will not stay in place either. Overall generally happy with the purchase!

We first used this item at a cafe in St. Augustine, FL, and had to have one. It works so much better with loose leaf teas than tea balls that we have now switched completely to loose leaf tea instead of tea bags. A glass version would be nice, but we still love it!

I do copywriting for an advertising firm, so I’m used to being able to see past the breezy, flowery rhetoric that oftentimes is associated with a product. And I’m also pretty good at stripping away that rhetoric when recommending a product. But this isn’t rhetoric. Adagio makes the best teas I’ve ever found. When you first open a tin of Adagio tea, the aroma tells you that you’ve found an excellent brand, and after the first few sips you’ve made up your mind that you’re an Adagio person from now on.
The ingenuiTEA teapot is also a simple work of genius. I’ve been impressed with the level of quality in everything I’ve seen come out of Adagio. Try them. You won’t be disappointed. The only disappointment I’ve found with Adagio is that some of their can labels could stand to be a little more attractive.

The easiest and best tea maker and the TEA’s are wonderful I have given then as gifts and everyone LOVED THEM. Great for both hot and Iced tea. Can heat the teapot in the Microwave so it is great to take to work with you. I LOVE ADIAGO flavored tea’s as well the apricot and Rasberry are wonderful

This tea set was ordered as shown but the pot never arrived. In spite of paying extra to get “expedited service” (1 to 3 days promised), the package took eight days to arrive. The company has never responded to any of three e-mails. Be careful.
Easy Tea brewing

Practically same product first debuted in Teavana, this tea brewer is quite clever. Put in the tea and add hot water. Let brew for 3 – 5 minutes and dispense the tea by placing on top of a mug. This particular model can be used in the microwave for student or traveler with access to a microwave but no hot pot. Only design flaw is I wish I could take the bottom apart for better scrubbing. Having said that, I own 2 of these and love them.
