Great tea, great value for money, great for high blood pressure!

My wife suffers from high blood pressure and not wanting to get hooked on blood pressure medicine, sought out natural ways to control her blood pressure. A collegue of her’s recommended rooibos and thats how we started drinking it. Its expensive to buy by the teabag and this product was the best value for money we could find. Love the taste, no additives and best of all, my wife’s blood pressure has come come down noticably(she’s been drinking a large cup daily for the last six months).

This is a great tea. I highly recommend all Davidson’s teas and I am really glad I discovered them for myself and my family- chamomile, rooibos, hibiscus, green teas- the price is great and you get the organic tea of high quality & quantity.
Rooibos tea, like green and black tea, has been found to be rich in anti-oxidants and flavonoids. In fact, Rooibos tea has been found to have as much as 50 times more SOD than Green Tea. It also has other anti-oxidants not found in other teas.
The effect of free radicals (a by-product of normal cell function) in the process of aging and declining of the immune system is limited by the anti-oxidants in Rooibos tea.
Rooibos tea is completely pure and natural, as it contains no additives, preservatives or colorants. It is a soothing drink for people on a calorie-restricted diet, without adding kilojoules.
Rooibos tea is also strongly recommended for people suffering from irritability, headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns, insomnia, nervous tension, mild depression or hypertension. Rooibos tea contains no caffeine and therefore has a soothing effect on the central nervous system. Rooibos tea is also low in tannin and therefore does not have a negative effect on the absorption of iron and proteins into the body.
Rooibos tea has anti-spasmodic properties, thus relieving stomach cramps and colic in infants. Rooibos tea also relieves stomach and indigestive problems like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach ulcers and constipation.
Furthermore, rooibos tea also supplements the daily amounts of calcium, manganese and especially fluoride, needed for the development of strong teeth and bones. It contains zinc and alpha-hydroxy acid, which promotes healthy skin and magnesium which is necessary for a healthy nervous system.
Rooibos tea has a soothing effect on the skin, relieving itching and certain skin irritations like eczema, nappy rash and acne when directly applied to the affected area.

I have tried many various Rooibos tea and this tastes one of the best for me. It is very good value for the amount, I’ve been drinking one bag for almost 6 month now. Highly recommended for Rooibos tea lovers!

It is hard to get the right rooibos tea flavor. I have tried multiple varieties and brands. This one is my new favorite. The right strength with hints of vanilla. Soft and easy on the tongue.
Hint – Steep it all day, tastes even better.

Just received my shipment in yesterday with the tea in excellent condition. Smells and tastes great! The longer this tea is steeped the better (opposite of regular tea), I steep mine for 10 to 20 minutes. Very happy with this product, and very glad it’s organic… wouldn’t buy it if it wasn’t.

I receive a pound of this tea every month and I love it. This is a great, organic tea that is caffeine free and full of anti-oxidants. It makes excellent ice tea as well. I highly recommend buying Rooibos Tea through Davidson’s Tea Company & Amazon.

The tea is very good quality, very fresh, and has a nice flavor for those who like Rooibos teas. It’s far better than other bagged rooibos teas I’ve tried and much cheaper when bought in bulk.

Red Rooibos is my favorite tea, and buying it in bulk saves so much money, this bag will last you a long time, you just need to invest in some kind of strainer.
The quality i’m glad to say is great too.
But this tea just isn’t for drinking, you can use it in baking too!

If you are interested in a caffeine-free, tannin-free brew with a rich, full-bodied taste, you need to try Rooibos tea. If you want the absolute best Rooibos for the price, you need to try Davidson’s Tea in bulk.
Rooibos is generally expensive, and many types available at the store are combined with other flavors (fruits and extracts). Generally, all of these taste good, but each can hide the true quality of the Rooibos used. The few pure Rooibos teas you find are closer to triple the price of normal 20 count boxes of teas. These boxed Rooibos teas are actually quite good, but expensive–you might get 1.5 ounces. Amazingly, Davidson’s is able to give you 16 ounces of Rooibos for a couple dollars more.
We like our Rooibos strong and we would go through it very fast with Rooibos by-the-bag, so we seldom get the pure Rooibos. That is, until now with this bulk version.
Coupled with a good method of infusing (I highly suggest the SwissGold TF 500–it is non-reactive with the tea and it is sufficiently sized and made for extended use), you will make great brews. Rooibos can give you two great brews, a third that is pretty good (make this a hotter, longer brew), and an, at-best, mediocre fourth brew, using four teaspoons in the TF 500 mentioned above. This keeps me going until evening, when I share another set of strong brews with my wife. As you may tell, I use a very large mug.
The bag is plastic-lined paper, and has strong ziplock-type top. You can probably get by leaving the tea in the bag for some weeks, but if you need to keep it for longer, you should buy vacuum containers.
We are elated with this so much, that we’ve ordered four other Davidson’s bulk teas. Expect reviews on these soon.

I have been drinking this Rooibos from Davidson’s, along with their South African Honeybush, for the past six months, and I can’t believe I was missing out on these great tea varieties for so long. This Rooibos has a delicious aroma and makes some of the best homemade iced tea I’ve ever tasted, with a gorgeous deep red color. Just be sure to store it in an airtight container after your tea arrives, because it comes in a paper bag that is not meant for long-term storage and will let the aroma out.

I had never tried Rooibos tea before. I had just read reviews about it. I am so glad I bought it. I have at least two cups of it a day…either hot or cold. I’ll be reordering this product.

I wanted so much to like this product! I had heard wonderful things about the tea (as you can see by the glowing reviews) but I could not tolerate the smell. I opened the bag and thought it smelled exactly like pipe tobacco. In spite of this, I forced myself to brew some. It was horrible! Saying this has an “unusual flavor” is downplaying the nauseating taste. I was seriously ill afterwards. If anyone knows what I can do to redeem the flavor, I’m all ears! (or eyes). I really want to salvage what I have. Thanks!
best rooibos I have tried so far

I have tried many rooibos teas over the last two years. I made a decision to take most of the caffiene out of my diet and this has so far been the only non-caffienated tea that I have liked. A mild taste, nice color. I will of course keep searching but no bagged rooibos I have tried has come as close as this loose version. I make it using three cups of hot water, 1/3-1/2 cup of loose tea, in a coffee press. Two things I like about this tea are: 1) it is very hard to make a brew which is too strong, 2) not being a “leafy” tea, it contains no tanins which means if you brew too long that is OK, you don’t get the wicked bitterness from tanins which you would find in other teas that contain them.

I’ve had more expensive rooibos before trying Davidson’s. I love this tea, it is very reasonably priced and the tea brews in 5 minutes for a easy pick-me-up. Will recommend to others and re-order again.

Rooibos (Roy-boss) tea is surely an acquired taste but once you get use to it it’s really quite good! This one brews up a very nice deep dark reddish color. The taste is not easy to describe, it is deep and earthy. This tea does not have caffeine so it is a great tea for those that can’t have or don’t like the feeling you get from caffeine. This is a very nice soothing tea I find myself reaching for more and more!
