5This One’s the BEST

Having lost a substantial amount of weight with a local hypnotherapist who later moved away, I began collecting a library of hypnosis cd’s for weight control. Of the dozen or so I’ve used, this one far exceeds the others in quality and efficacy.

Two sessions are included: A wonderful, lilting female voice takes you to deep relaxation, then jam-packs the remainder of the first session with suggestions to help you eat healthily and prefer less food. I’m finding the program remarkably effective, and attribute it to my newfound control over food since losing my hypnotherapist. The second session uses the same basic format, but focuses on generating, or increasing a desire for physical activity. I consider this an added bonus, and I’m seeing welcome changes in myself regarding exercise. I feel so strongly about it that I’ve ordered three more for family members struggling with weight issues. I only wish the author would offer additional weight control and exercise cd’s so I could alternate programs.

Despite the silly “Mind Over Platter” moniker, I heartily recommend “Weight Loss With Hypnosis” to everyone struggling with overweight. It really is the best and most effective I’ve found.

I had tried subliminal tapes on weight loss in the past and had never had any success. I refer to the type where the messages are embedded in the music. I’ve also tried the rah-rah coaching tapes and had no luck there either. But because I was desperate to find something that would help me break the hold that emotional eating has on me, I considered hypnosis programs. I ordered quite a few to try, but this is the one I’m keeping. Ms. Montanaro’s voice is soothing and relaxing. Her voice is the most pleasant voice of any of the many hypnosis programs I listened to. I wish she would produce other tapes on self-esteem, motivation, etc. These are common problems among dieters. The first program on this C.D. deals with weight loss and uses guided imagery that I find very easy to get into. The second program is on exercise motivation, and is also easy for me to use. I consistently listen to both programs during the morning when I can relax and focus without falling asleep (did I mention they’re very relaxing?) and then I listen to both programs at bedtime and fall asleep to them. After less than two weeks I am noticing that without any conscious effort on my part I am not using food to soothe my emotions anymore. The exercise program has been a little slower to show effect. But the last three days I have been more motivated to exercise, and I am an exercise hater in the extreme. I was very skeptical that hypnosis would work for me, but without a doubt it has been changing the way I relate to food. I’ve lost 5 lbs in the last two weeks, when before my weight loss was stalled due to the emotional stress of this time of year. This is truly helping to change my eating habits and lose the weight. I would recommend anyone who is interested in trying hypnosis for weight loss to start with this program.

Listening to this CD along with using the Mind Over Platter book has helped me continously keep my weight in control. If I find that I deviate and gain a pound or two, I can easily get back on track either by listening to the CD or reviewing the Mind Over Platter Book. I especially love the CD because of it’s soothing nature. I tend to be an emotional eater. Any emotion will do, however when I listen to the soothing suggestions I remember that I am in control of my eating. Thank you Rosa for helping me to keep my weight the same as the day I was married! 18 years & 3 children later! I couldn’t have done it without you!

    These CDs are relaxing and I agree that They can be a great decompressor at night with weight loss suggestions to boot. However I wouldn’t boast that it is a driving force in weight loss suggestions for the rest of the day. It is too expensive for the little effect you get.

    These CDs have really helped to keep me on track. They are relaxing and only take about 15-20 minutes a day. I look forward to the time I spend listening to them each day. They work with whatever eating program you want to use.

    I was initially skeptical about these CD’s from reading the other review but no more. I’ve paid more than $100 for 2 hypnosis sessions with a live weight loss hypnotist, I’ve paid more than $100 to Weight Watchers, LA Weight Loss, Jenny Craig…you name it. I’ve paid more than $100 for diet pills, tablets, laxatives, etc. But this is the absolute best $100+ I’ve spent for any weight loss product. There are 4 CD’s with 2 sessions on each CD.

    Each session focuses on a different aspect of weight loss, changing eating habits, exercise, diet plan, nutrition, etc. They are positively marvelous. I was skeptical when I first started listening as I didn’t think Dr. Temes voice was typical of a hypnotist; but she’s right on the money. You listen to the first CD which she explains what the next CD’s will cover and how you’re suppose to prepare yourself for hypnosis. And it works! You have a 30 day money back guarantee so if it doesn’t work what do you have to lose? I know I’ve spent $100+ on value meals so you might as well give this a try.

    We’ll see about the long term weight loss, think that will be up to me to keep it off not Dr. Temes but you could always pull the CD’s back out and relisten…which is what you’re suppose to do. And they’re a lot cheaper here than on Ebay. Well worth the money.

    I was skeptical about hypnosis because of my stereo typed misconceptions of what hypnosis is and what it may accomplish. According to the BMI chart, I am just over the line for being obese. I decided that I want to get fit and lose weight. In addition to walking, South Beach, and the Enjoying Weight Loss hypnosis CD’s, I am losing weight, 11# so far in 1 month. I find the hypnosis brings to consciousness the thoughts guided through the hypnotic suggestions. This really has worked for me and I am progressing toward my goals of fitness and weight loss. Very satisfied. :o )

    This is by far the best hypnotic weight loss set I have ever ordered and I have “wasted” a lot of time, energy, and money on others. It costs a little more, but this is one time you get what you pay for, obviously. I usually play it at night at the same time I run a sleep sync cd in another player.

    This is a very helpful audio book and I am enjoying it, it takes time to get the gist of everything so don’t get in a hurry, like all things, it takes a little time to learn but well worth it.

    I do not want to really criticize this cds (I put them on ipod actually), but I am not sure if it works and how it works, I am still being skeptical. I used it couple years ago, but eventually dropped it because did not notice any changes… Now I decided to be more persistent and try again… but I do not feel hypnotized, or I do not understand if I am hypnotized or not?! I am writing this review in hope that someone from the company will read it, because I want to point my attention to couple things on these cds that really irritate me. It is not studio recording. This woman Roberta Temes sits apparently in her office, sipping her drinks and does I don’t know what else, because I can hear everything she does (chair squeaking, paper shuffling) plus noise of garbage truck outside beeping and empting trash bins, airplanes flying above, cars passing by; so this stuff is really annoying and does not help to get concentrated or hypnotized. So, that why I am kind of felling cheated. You guys, need to spent some money to make professional studio recording, otherwise it is all looks and sounds very amateurish. I am really trying to make it work for me, and I will continue to listen it, but I just wanted to say what I said.
