Don’t get Screwed Like I did!

I have been taking this product for 7 weeks now and have NO IMPROVEMENT in my weight or in my energy in fact, I have gained 4 pounds while using it. I gave it a strong try but feel like I really wasted my money. Once the bottle is open, you are screwed out of your money and you can’t return it. I am through experimenting and will stick with a different brand that I know works. I have tried several Acai products that have gotten me good results but this is NOT one of them. The pills smelled kind of odd as well. I dont believe the other reviews here because this product DOES NOT WORK!

A little misleading

Amazon should require showing the label like vitacost does, it’s actually 400mg per capsule and not 1200mg of acai like the front of the bottle says, I think sambazon brand is a better.

Fantastic device – pick your Kindle!

The fruit of the tree, which is called by the same name, has been a necessary feed source for natives in the rain forest for centuries and has a creamy, exotic pulp at the center of a big melon.

The fruits are with regards to the size of a medium-sized watermelon and become ripe from January to April, for the duration of the rainy season. These are gathered, split open, and the pulp is made into juice, ice cream, jam, tarts, smoothies and more. THE NUTRIENTS IN CUPUACU

Benecol Caramel Chews

Not wanting to resort to “drugs” to manage Cholesterol, I did some research on plant Stanols, and plant Sterols. They both seem to have the ability to lower the cholesterol in your blood. However, based on a Johns Hopkins health alert….plant sterols tend to lose their ability to lower cholesterol, and instead start to appear in the blood them selves. Where as plant STANOLS seem to stay active and continue to lower cholesterol. BENECOL is the only off the shelf item that contains stanols instead of sterols. The Benecol spread is good and tastes fine, but the caramel chews are portable so you can easily take them with you. I would recommend the chews to anyone who wants to keeps tabs on your cholesterol….they are reasonably inexpensive, taste good, and have STANOLS in them…and they are portable. I was able to lower my cholesterol by 80 points by consumming STANOLS and watching my intake of cholesterol….

Buy this product. Tell your friends about it. Unfortunately J&J doesn’t have a clue of how to market this great product, don’t let it slip out of production. I am in club Benecol and haven’t received anything. Spread the word, a safer way to lower your cholesterol. Word of mouth is about it, lets hope it works.

25% Decrease in LDL!

I have phenomenally high HDL (>100), which is great, but my LDL was creeping up—it got to 160. I’m vegetarian. I cut out nearly all dairy fat, added ~15 almonds/day and ~3g/day of psyllium, and started taking 1 Smart Chew 3 times/day. My HDL remained the same, but my LDL dropped to 120, a 25% decrease! I am a very happy camper!
My only complaint is that the product contains Yellow 6. I’ve written to the company requesting that they remove it; if enough of us do that, maybe they’ll comply.

very poor acai product

I tried this several months ago and found it to be an over-priced complete disappointment. I love acai and used to eat the pulps & purees all the time when I lived in Brazil. This is not a good acai product. First, it is stored at room temperature. What a joke. Acai should be maintained frozen to preserve the nutrients..at times refrigeration is okay, but room temp for a fruit product stored for several months…not a good deal. Anyone in Brazil knows this. Second, they claim to use the whole fruit including the seed. This is false marketing. The seeds are used to burn for fuel and composted for fertilizer in Brazil. Nobody uses the seeds for dietary consumption. Finally, this product treats acai as a dietary supplement. Acai is a fruit, a whole food. It is not intended to be served in 1oz serving sizes. Again, you would get laughed at in Brazil if you wanted a 1oz serving of acai. Like asking for 3 blueberries. Don’t buy the Genesis Today hype. Very disappointed in all of their products. You’re better off looking for some frozen acai pulp or frozen acai puree and eating a normal fruit serving of a few ounces.

I crave this product now!

I bought this at the health food store. My initial thought was “This had better be a great product if they have the nerve to charge forty bucks for a bottle of juice!” I like the fact that I paid for unadulterated acai, and not for a “blend” that includes a lot of stuff I can get at the grocery store at $3 for 64oz. If you’re paying the premium for acai, be sure you’re actually getting acai!

Best Açaí on the market!

I’ve learned that one should never take a juice product that has been processed into a capsule, powder or things like that because you’re losing valuable nutrients. Genesis Today’s Açaí is the only liquid, thick and real Açaí juice available today. I’m really glad to have found it, the nutrients value are very high and the taste is very refreshing. Highly recommended.

No weight loss

I’ve been using this in smoothies about every other day, and haven’t noticed any weight loss, but it seems to have a beneficial laxative effect. I mix about a 1/4 cup with ice, organic yogurt, a banana, and perhaps a whole orange or orange juice. Looks really grainy, and purple, but goes down easily. It doesn’t seem to vary the flavor of the smoothie significantly. It’s not bad tasting, to me.

Not as good as frozen juice pulp

There’s so much hype around Acai these days and just about every brand out there exploits Oprah’s endorsement. But if you go to Oprah’s official site, you’ll see the only real endorsement is for the unsweetened pulp. My boyfriend and I have been using the Sambazon frozen pulp and love it. I felt an immediate difference. I didn’t get tired at 3pm like I normally do. I was more alert and focused. I felt great. We tried the Navitas powder because it was cheaper. However, it gave me stomach aches and digestive problems. I felt no improvement in energy. I also can’t stand the taste – and I’m pretty tolerant of that kind of stuff. My boyfriend hasn’t experienced any negative side effects. He says he doesn’t mind it. But we both prefer the Sambazon fruit pulp packs instead.

Cheap, but terrible taste

This Navitas brand does give you a lot of quantity for your money. I do question how good this is. Acai is supposed to be frozen within 24 hours of harvesting or else it loses all the good stuff that the hype is all about. I do not know if this is or not nor could I verify it anywhere. This is the second brand I have tried and I do not feel any of the effects and this is after taking this for a month. This brand does taste terrible in comparison to the mawe 100g pouches being sold here on amazon. Mawe has a slight amount of cane sugar added and is not as finely ground. It definitely tastes better, but then it is more expensive as far as how much quantity you get per dollar spent.

I can honestly say this supplement does nothing but help me, it doesnt do all the work for you, it just helps you control your appetite and help speed up metabolism and it has been doing wonders, since i have been on it and stop eating by 8:00 pm i have lost at-least 15 pounds and that was just with dieting and not with working out, im serious this stuff works

This is the only diet pill I feel I need to use going forward. It is an excellent, safe formula that has gotten me some nice results. I take it twice a day with food and have lost about 11 pounds over the last two months. I have been using it along with a nice colon cleanse product that I have found. I think if you try this product for a few months you will be as happy as I am. No diet pill in the world will work without modifying bad eating habbits too unless you want to exercise like crazy but who has time for that…

It appears this product contains Omega’s, but no where on the package does it state it’s ORAC value. The ORAC value is what most people are looking for in an Acai product. It doesn’t blend too well with liquid. I won’t be buying this product again. The shipping was fast and I would recommend the seller, just not the product.

Quality is inconsistent

I have brought these few times, the first bottle that we have received seems to mix well, also the taste was good , but the next 2 bottles were not as good as the first one. It seems to be a hit or miss if you buy this product it might come out good or bad. These powder seems to come in two different packaging one is purple and other is green, I tried both and they seems to taste bad. BTW also tried perfect acai which is costlier but the taste is much better then this one and also it state the ORAC ingredients etc upfront

Doesn’t mix well, tastes bad, notice no benefits

I went into this product with high hopes, but came out feeling like I was duped. First off, if you put this just in water, it tastes absolutely terrible. Might as well throw some stevia in there. Also, this stuff will cake on the sides of any glass or water bottle you put it into. Doesn’t mix well at all.

Lastly, all this “ORAC” hype, yet I noticed absolutely zero benefits of taking it. I noticed about the same effects I would get if I ate a strawberry. ONE strawberry.

Overhyped, overpriced product. Spend your money elsewhere.

To battle the force of destruction itself can be something so very daunting. “Fire Men: Stories From Three Generations of a Firefighting Family” is a familial memoir from Gary R. Ryman as he tells his story of how he, his son, and his father have made their line of fire fighters, telling the stories that can only come from a growing line of fire fighters. Thoughtful and profound, “Fire Men” is an excellent read and very highly recommended reading for those seeking memoirs and stories about fire fighting.

Gary’s description of a 3-generation firefighting family was fun reading, entertaining, and educational as well. Having known Gary and his dad through the fire service made the book even more fun to read!

I would recommend this book to any family who has an aspiring sibling wanting to join the fire service. The book tells it like it really is. It is sometimes fun, sometimes very emotional, but always a learning experience.

Gary Ryman’s FIREMEN is a collection of exciting true stories from a volunteer fireman who rose from the position of youthful apprentice to that of Chief. A master at detailing and explaining the myriad complexities that attend the fighting of a fire, Ryman takes you right into the flames–be they teasing or vicious–which he became expert at battling. Gary pulls no punches: his mistakes are displayed alongside the victories; sadness and desperation at the scene of nightmarish vehicular accidents are not soft-pedaled. Nor does he stint on using the lingo, rough language, and raw emotions elicited from the men (and sometimes women) summoned to a fire or EMS scene. What makes this book so altogether absorbing is Ryman’s sense of honesty, empathy, and humanity. He relays it to the reader with a natural literate sense and writing style that you might hardly expect from those rough-hewn types who are drawn to the world of fighting fires. The book covers Ryman’s work in the Southern Tier of New York State, the D.C. area of Maryland, and rural Northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as training with his fire Chief father and bringing his own son into the field. You NEED to exercise and eat right, and you should take a fat burner to help your body burn fat faster.

I tried a few different fat burners, but most of them made me sick or jittery. After looking at the ingredients labels and seeing how much caffeine & chemicals were in other fat burners I stopped taking them.

Fat burners are a good tool to help you shred fat while working out and eating properly – I show some before and after pics in my video review.

Obviously fat burners aren’t the main thing that helped me out, but I did shred fat quicker when I was taking it!
