Adult Only Acne Treatment-Product Reviews What happens when adolescent acne becomes adult acne? You get frustrated right? It must be gone, out grown by now, but it is not. You need an adult acne treatment of some sort to treat your acne condition. It may be you just need a good cleanser, and moisturizer of a heap of type to accommodate the changes as you get older. Below is a review of a lot of adult acne treatment solutions of which I have no ties with, it is just for your benefit. I researched a great deal of prices and info as printed on the product labels as examples of adult acne treatment solutions. DDF Pumice Acne Scrub – Cost: $32.00 Every review on this product has given it 4 stars and a rating of 10 on scale of 1-10. It exfoliates dead skin cells, and refreshes the pores. Here is the manufacturers listing in bottle form: Exfoliation intensity: Gentle exfoliation Description Directions If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or each other day. If going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow skin to arid after using benzoyl peroxide scrub, then follow directions in the sunscreen labeling. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Defense Lotion – Cost: 39.90 for kit Noncomedogenic: Yes Description Directions Ok, so all the reviews that I read on these merchandise have great reviews, rating 8-10 in score, with 10 being highest. The good thing in regards to these is they are inexpensive, and worth the try providing the price. There are a heap of merchandise to use, you may want to commence with name brands that have been around a while and haven proven themselves. |

This actually works (for me)
By No Ghouls, Just Fright
This does seem to work, surprisingly, as described. It is a light non-greasy moisturizer, and yet it seems to help fight acne also, at the same time! I’ve almost completed the bottle and I will continue to purchase this product. It does help control oil (for a short while), doesn’t sting at all, has a pleasant but light citrus scent, and it really does work double-duty as a light moisturizer and acne lotion.
Update 3/23: This is still working for me, and I still love it. Normally by now I would be discouraged with the acne product and be ready to try something else, but not this time.
Update 08/2011: Back for more; this is still working well for me so I’ve stuck with it.

Impressed so far
By Tuppy
For the past several years I used Aveeno Clear Complexion Correcting Treatment to prevent and clear the blemishes I get with hormonal fluctuations. It was 0.5% salicylic acid and worked well without over-drying my “maturing” skin. When it was discontinued, I bought up all the leftover tubes I could find…and when those finally ran out, I scoured the stores and internet for a replacement. I tried two or three pricey products. Not only were they drying, my skin seemed to “rebound” and I was getting what I would characterize as persistent, moderate acne. So there I was with a red, flakey, zitty face, when I decided to try the Neutrogena Rapid Clear lotion. I thought the 2% salicylic acid would be too much, but I’m happy to report that the lotion is soothing and not overdrying at all. I use a thin layer over my entire face morning and night. I have been using it for a couple of months, and in the first two weeks my skin did indeed “rapidly clear.” I am not even really getting much in the way of my usual monthly breakouts. In fact, I think it works better than the Aveeno. Ah, relief. Glad I bought the three pack.

It actually works for me…
By Random Name
I use this spot gel on my occasional, mild to moderate acne and it really does diminish the appearance and pain of any emerging zits I get. It works especially well overnight when the skin is more relaxed. From personal experience, however, I don’t recommend using such salicylic acid acne gels on large areas of skin over lengthy periods of time. In the past, it worked so well for me that I thought, “Why not use it as an everyday acne treatment to prevent acne? I could use this for my entire T-zone area!” How foolish that turned out to be, because I ended up with irritated skin and more acne where there formerly was not any. After all, it is called a “spot gel” for a reason. With that said, a small dab used directly on a zit will suffice.
I feel the need to add a disclaimer here. As one of the other reviewers stated, each person reacts differently to different remedies, so it is advisable to try a slight amount first. I personally have combination type skin, and this gel does not “burn” nor even dry my skin. Also, the very first review on this gel sounds suspiciously extreme.
