Not so sure….

I’ve been taking the Colonix and the Toxinout for a month and a half. I started out thinking I would do the whole three months (I was exposed to serious toxins and have been trying anything and everything possible to help return to normal functioning), but I think I’m about done for the time being.

Not sure what I think about this product

I read many reviews of this product prior to my purchase. I don’t think that I had any where near the positive results of the reviews I read. I know that they say to use it for at least a month but, I got a large rash on my stomach, my head hurt daily and I just didn’t feel right. I stopped using it after two weeks. I might try it again just to finish it because it was relatively expensive and I may be too cheap to not finish it for that reason alone!

Interesting book though far, far too much science in it for the average person (BTW – I have a Master’s degree and a former college roommate is now a registered dietician so I’ve been around related books and discussions and still found this hard to follow).

I have read a lot of books on physiology, more specifically hormones and metabolism, written by people with board-certified medical degrees. This book explains almost all of what the others do, plus more recent research, in a much easier to read format with helpful charts and references. I was very surprised a book of this quality could come from a non-degreed personal trainer. I have a new respect for Jillian Michaels for passing along medical researched-based facts (many pages of peer-reviewed medical references in the back if you want to check the sources) and dispelling myths like working out on an empty stomach, and the problems with soy and other substances interacting with hormones. Her own story is very interesting and there is a very thorough section explaining hormones and their interconnecting roles in our health. I’ve already started cleaning out my fridge and cabinets.

Good Product

My husband and I both used this product in conjunction with Jordan Rubin’s 10 day perfect cleanse eating plan as described in his book Perfect Weight America. That is the way this product is intended to be used. It is unfortunate to see so many bad reviews on a great product. I have been diagnosed with gastrointestinal problems and this product was very safe and gentle and with the menu he explains in his book to go along with the product, I lost 4 pounds and my husband lost an amazing 12 pounds! We both had a little headache and feelings of tiredness during the first three days as our bodies were getting used to the no sugar, no caffeine, no white flour, etc. diet. After day three my energy level skyrocketed and I felt great! You must stick with his eating plan and be drinking 3/4 an ounce of water per pound of body weight while taking this product. I hope this review will help people who are considering a safe and effective way to cleanse their bodies. The plan works but you must have the discipline to follow it.

wish i could just buy Remove

I never bothered to look at reviews for this product and am kind of surprised so many had bad results. I have tried many other cleanses: Dr. Natura, Blessed Herbs, and another brand I can’t think of. Also, from reading other’s revies, I’m realizing that I didn’t follow directions and change my diet while on this cleanse (ate like normal). I generally don’t have an easy time going, if you know what I mean, and I purposefully avoid any fiber supplements- anything other than fruits and vegetables tends to back me up.

So, I’ve been happy with the results of this cleanse (done it twice) and the remove product has been more effective for me than any other brand. I’ve been wondering what special thing is in their proprietary blend that works for me and just wanted to buy Remove by itself. From most other cleanses I either get backed up or have diarrhea and so far this is the only one that works for me. (sorry for the details…)

Just goes to show that everyone’s body is different I guess.

Follow instructions and it works

Most importantly, it’s imperative to flush with LOTS of water all day every day you are on this product. If you don’t, you’ll have problems. If you drink the amount of water you should, you’ll be fine.

I followed the perfect cleanse instructions and diet that Rubin lists in the book Perfect Weight America. With a few exceptions, I stuck to foods that were listed as healing foods and not the dirty dozen. I did the chicken soup thing for three days of the cleanse. My husband did the chicken soup for those days as well, just not for breakfast. We both followed the instructions for all the water to drink.

He felt better, I felt much better and I lost about four pounds, and that was only being on it for seven days (he did it for 10). I got off after day seven b/c I had to take antibiotics for strep throat and didn’t want to do the cleanse on antibiotics. I plan on making the soup again and doing the other three days’ worth.

BTW, the soup recipe recommended with this cleanse makes excellent soup. Best my husband and I had ever eaten and we are used to eating good food.

I have been using this product for 5 months now and am getting ready to buy my third set of 3 bottles. I love the fact that I get more energy with this but alos the antioxidants of a quality acai are not to be ignored. Antioxidants are important at fighting free radicals that can cause cancer. People are exposed to cancer causing things all the time, every day and having a strong defense set up is really a great approach is a nice way to go. I am still very overweight but was that way before I started. I have lost 37 pounds over the last 5 months but this isnt just from this product. I have also been improving my eating habbits and sometimes walking during lunch as well.

It is hard to find pure acai products like this one. I really am carefully with what I take. I am on my third bottle and have enjoyed a nice energy boost that I especially see in the afternoons. I take 1 with breakfast and 1 with lunch and it seems to work out nice. I have lost a dcent amount of fat around my gut and legs but don’t own a scale to do any measuring. Acai is a nice antioxidant alos. I will be back for more.

Great Clamp, Good Size (You Decide)

This clamp uses the ingenius trigger grip design for unbelievable ease of use. This makes the clamp unbelievably easy to tighten using one hand. A few warnings about this particular product, however:

(1) Be sure the size is correct. I think the 24″ size is probably a bit too big for most projects. I think the 18″ size is the best all-around size. Personal preference and common usage really should make this decision for you.

(2) The plastic construction makes the clamps best for holding items “approximately” in place. If you need total clamping for cutting precision, look elsewhere.

All in all, a good product if it is the right size, and used for the right purpose. A good collection would probably include either this or the 18″ size, the 36″ size and the smallest size. If building such a collection, I would start with this or the 18″ size.

Handy but could grip more firmly

I’ve used two of these clamps for about a year and do like the quick release. Some people have commented that it can pinch your fingers. Perhaps that is the case with the shorter models?

The grip is not strong enough for some board joining exercises, e.g. doweling butt joints. I’m not sure whether it is because of the soft yellow grips or something to do with the hand pull. Whatever the case, sometimes you have to wrap the hand pull with duct tape around the fixed blue stem in order to acheive enough clamping force.

I have to say that after purchasing the Jorgensen clamps I am happier with those although the quick release is not as easy to pull.

Internal Cleansing: Rid your body of Toxins and Return to Vi

This book was quite informative. Certain sections were fairly indepth – for instance the Toxins in Our Food and Evnvironment Section was extensive and easy to understand. The self-exam section and pictorials are good, but also in other publications.

The first part of the book could have been a more informed overview, thus more understandable for people not attuned to the aspects of inner cleansing.

My biggest problem with this book, and it is a very big one, is that it recommends a few company’s products, which are not necessarily the best on the market. Some are powdered nutrients that aren’t totally accessible to constipated systems and some are fiber capsules that can be self defeating, even harmful for some people. The formulas suggested from different companies and Multi-level Marketing organizations, are not balanced, and throw together herbs for different body systems ( we can’t just throw together some wonderful herbs and expect them to work in a balanced manner for that specific body system, which just confuses the body’s natural cleansing function), laxative or stimulating herbs (which should never be taken for any length of time), and not relating to consumers that need to effectively and safely cleanse the body. We must gently, but totally cleanse each body system (or organ) separately. Other than ‘the fiber capsules’, the colon cleansing recommendations is adequate, but the information and products on the other organs or problems (liver, kidneys, arteries, lungs, parasites) is not up to date or very informative. If this book was more objective (without selling products), it would be much more credible.

After a simple test designed to find out the individual’s current level of stress, Berry outlines a variety of cleansing programs, from simple juice fasts to powder-supplements targeting certain organs (liver, kidneys, lymph etc). A long discourse on diet comes next, complete with a guide of healthy alternative recipes. Berry completes the book with a section on practices that compliment these diet/cleansing techniques; an essential conclusion, but I wish she had gone in more detail about the importance of mastication, exercise, and positive thinking.

An important book for anyone concerned with keeping the body healthy & whole.

i am a orthomolecular-nutritionist and i do have some books on cleansing,plus an expirience of more than 100 cleansing programs with my patients.i can tell that this book is the bible of the subject. the author explaines all the aspects of the immune system,how they work in combination,what is toxicity,and what is the best way of doing it without harming your tissues with a healing crisis that actually happens when you don’t activate the phase-2 liver detoxification mechanism,(you want to know what do i mean? read that book)nutrition/recipes/herbs/vitamins/sport/baths/oxidative-stress/ psycological-stress/antioxidants/other supporting therapies that complement the benefit of internal cleansing are all explained. allergy (wether nutritional and ecological) are well essencivly explained in a wonderful guided way, easy to understand. i am a nutritionist,i know that it is really works.buy it and use it with your nutritionist/naturopath, it is superb!
