Lowcholesterol Cookbook for Dummies

I have been share of the low-carb community for various years, and I find it interesting to watch the trends and the ups and downs of low carb advocacy. I’ve always leaned toward a healthful version and moderation.

From the beginning, I preferent “real food” made healthy, and this delightful book, Healthy Carb Cookbook For ‘Dummies’ (Wiley Publishing, 2005), by Jan McCracken, offers a fantasti assortment of down to world and delicious, “real world” recipes.

This book is a realistic and humorous guide for living a healthful life for real people. It addresses ease of preparation, economy of effort, contemplation of meal budgets, and most significantly abundance of flavor – all with health as the underlying factor. I love each recipe I’ve tried so far.

As any “Dummies” reader knows, there’s more to a “Dummies” cookbook than recipes. And in this book, there are terrific, mutual sense, and again, realistic segments, from counsel and tips to selective information on how to get the most gain from living right in this fast-paced world. I also be grateful for that the author evidently knows her chops, so to speak. She has done her exploration and provides info that I have not found readily available regarding low and healthful carb.

I’ve been researching and reading with regards to all angles of low carb eating for assorted years, and this book actually gave me a great deal of fresh information, new perspectives and a fun read. If you have any curiosity or interest in low or healthful carb cooking, I highly commend getting a copy of this book.

5Great Way to Begin the New Year!
By Deanna M. Yalowitz
Many of us make resolutions for the New Year. Some we keep and others are hard to stick to. I did not have a choice about lowering my cholesterol. I just didn’t know how to go about it. I found myself in the Dummies section of the bookstore, and reached for Molly Siple’s book – Low Cholesterol Cookbook for Dummies. I started skimming through it and the recipes sounded delicious and easy. I purchased the book and am eager to share the news that I have lost 4 lbs in two weeks. Not only are the recipes easy to follow, but the ingredients are all available in my local market. No mystery foods. It is astonishing how quick some of the meals are to prepare, and I just love Molly’s little tips on what type dish to serve it in and even how to cut up a mango. I am having my cholesterol levels checked in February and will report my success then.

5Chock full of inforrmation and great recipes
By L. Brown
I’m not much of a cook but I am interested in low cholesterol, so I took a chance on this book. And what a pleasant surprise. Not only is it chock full of information on fats in foods, the good and the bad, but the variety and originality of the recipes actually inspired me to cook.
The chicken recipes alone are simply wonderful.
