The Ultimate Cleanse

I tried this product for the purpose of cleansing only. I had a wonderful addition since I lost a few inches around the stomach while cleansing. I took 2 sets of pills each morning and found that I had to take a bathroom break after each meal. I watched my intake of food and found this product worked very well for me. Good Luck!

Great, but not ultimate

This is a terrific cleanse. I could actually feel toxins leaving through my eyes and ears. (Burning pain) and it caused me to have the symptoms of a cold while toxins left my sinuses and lungs. I highly recommend this product. I do not feel, however that it is a total cleanse. In order to have that, one must also fast. I believe the lemonade fast is the best total cleanse, but before hand, one should take a milder cleanse to keep from going through a health crisis as so many toxins leave your system. If you plan on going through a more thorough cleanse afterward, or if you just want a great cleanser, I believe this is a great product. To get the best results, while on the cleanse, stay away from processed foods, fried foods, milk products and beef. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

Works as claimed!

I have been on the product for 3 weeks as of this writing; and, it works as it claims. I am regular for the first time in memory ( I am 62). I definitely feel less bloating,less cramping, and thankfully, less constipation. My personal regimen is to take 1 herbal and 1 fiber the first thing in the morning before breakfast. I am good for the day. I have more energy and I like the way my GI tract is on a normal balance each day.

Smart, witty, helpful

This book has helped me understand the science of stress and some unpleasant results that I’ve been experiencing. I’m someone who always wants to know WHY certain things are happening, and finds that helpful when figuring out how to fix them. I really like the author’s tone: He’s a scientist, but one with a great sense of humor and also a lot of compassion. This book, while not exactly New Agey/touchy-feely, is also not cold and clinical as it explains the biology behind stress and how it affects body and mind. Once you reach the point where you say, “OK, now I understand how stress is affecting me … Now what do I DO about it?,” you’ll probably need resources other than this book. But if, like me, you like to start out with a good understanding of what the problem is, then this book is a great place to find that foundation.

A fascinating tour of how stress impacts the body

This new edition of why Zebra’s Don’t Get Ulcers is extensively revised and exceeds earlier additions in terms of explaining the effects of stress on the body. This is a very detailed exploration, but well worth the sometimes difficult reading. If you don’t have some sort of background in biology, you may find that you have to read it a bit more slowly.

From my background as a biologist, this book really covers the topic with strong support and detail. From my perspective as a reader, it’s a true page-turner that doesn’t just accomplish its point, but goes well beyond. Sapolsky brilliantly makes incredibly complex systems seem simple and mechanistic by breaking them into manageable pieces and using strong analogies, making a prior knowledge of neuroscience unecessary. Humorous, witty, and easy-to-understand, this book is a must for anyone remotely interested in the topic of stress!

Great Tester – We’ve Owned for Many Years

We have owned this device for many years and use it fairly regularly. My boyfriend doesn’t like doctors, so it’s good to have the CardioChek device for nearly instant home testing whenever we wish. It’s great!

The device is about the size of a long pack of cigarettes and is SUPER easy to use. You can buy a variety of test strips for it. We have the total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and Triglycerides tests. From these, you can also calculate your LDL levels quite easily.

You turn on the CardioChek, slide in whichever strip you want to use, and then add in a drop of blood. We have an AutoLancet which is a one-button push pen-like item that easily gets a drop of blood without much pain at all. Then you wait maybe 30 seconds, and the device tells you the exact number.

We haven’t had any problems with this system at all. If anything, the problem we have is that I don’t bleed easily and my blood refuses to leave my body I find that running my hand or foot under warm water for a few minutes helps out. My toes seem to work better than my fingers, and are less sensitive, too.

Highly recommended, we haven’t had any problems with this at all in the many years of use.

A great tester….

This is a great device. It’s very easy to use, gets results in just minutes and saves on trips to the Dr’s office. You check for more than just blood sugar,but to keep an eye on your cholesteral. I paid more for mine didn’t know Amazon carried these, they are a much better price here including the test strips. If you go to the company website you’ll pay more and the best part is you can do it in your own home first thing in the morning after the 12 hr fast instead of waiting to get to a clinic or Dr’s office.

Excellent product

I have been using this for quite some time now and do not have any problems with this. I love this product. This is very simple to use. If you are using it for the first time, you may end up wasting a couple of tests trying to figure it out. Once you get a hang of it, you will love it. This is even better than the discontinued LifeStream product, because you can check your HDL, Triglycerides and Total Cholesterol with the same product. Only down side is that the strips are expensive. On the other hand, this is an excellent device to monitor your Cholesterol in between doctor visits.
