Scalp acne is a reasonably mutual condition which may affect both men and women of all ages. Although it for the most part appears on the scalp, it may likewise affect other elements of the body such as the face, arms, armpits, chest and legs. Scalp acne commonly manifests itself as little white and yellow pustules. Scalp acne may be triggered by overly generative oil glands which mix with dirt resulting in a clogged pore. Once the pore is blocked, bacteria will then cause the pimple to erupt. For those who are stricken with scalp acne, there are treatments available which you may talk about with your dermatologist. He may suggest a scalp acne treatment which holds salicylic acid. This scalp acne treatment would be employed with either a cotton ball or a cotton swab. Since this scalp acne treatment may cause the treated area to become excessively dry, so it is advised that it be used only on the affected area. Before beginning the salicylic acid treatment, the scalp ought to basi be cleansed with a non-irritating shampoo. Individuals with severe cases of scalp acne will have to never try to treat the condition themselves, but rather they ought to consult the services of a qualified dermatologist. If you intend on using scalp acne treatments on your own, be sure that you do not use benzoyl peroxide as a treatment on the scalp as it is a bleaching agent. It will cause the hair it touches to bleach out it is color, which could cause you to have results that you will find unpleasing at best. Some dandruff shampoos integrate a chemical called ketoconazole which may be employed as an effective scalp acne treatment. Always be sure to use a good shampoo and conditioner before the treatments to insure a healthful head of hair. Home treatments for scalp acne must only be attempted in mild cases. Always consult either your necessary physician or your dermatologist when you have scalp acne which is moderate to severe. Your physician may be capable to prescribe a medication which will offer numerous relief with the more severe outbreaks. You may get a prescription for an oral antibiotic such as erythromycin or tetracycline, or a topical antibiotic to treat the skin for contagions which make the scalp acne thrive. Or you may be prescribed a topical steroid to treat the outbreak of scalp acne. If you have never been diagnosed by a proper medical practitioner as to having scalp acne, do not try any treatments of any type until you have been seen. It is of the utmost importance that a proper diagnosis be made before any scalp acne treatments have been utilized. Other scalp conditions exist, and you could potentially make them worse with the improper treatment. If you do not have a regular dermatologist, your physician may refer you to one to get support with your scalp condition. It is only then that any scalp treatments for acne must begin. |

Helped my sensitive skin!
By Amy
I bought this product to deal with some mild acne around my chin. I also get the occasional painful cyst-type acne (I am in my mid 20′s and this is a recent development).I have pretty sensitive dry/normal combo skin and other treatments I have tried have just made me peely and flaky.
I have been using the treatment for a month. At first the treatment was a little drying so I went to using it every other night and now I am applying it every night following it up with moisturizer. My skin is DEFINITELY clearer. The product is easy to apply, soaks into your skin pretty quickly and is unscented (a huge plus!) It is still a little irritating everyonce in awhile but I have not had any ridiculous peeling/redness. I’m still not sure how it will be under my makeup wearing it all day.
Overall, I am impressed with this product, it has helped out my skin!

Works great!

Great price, beats it’s competitors. The product did exactly what it says it would do. Cleared up my face quickly. Fragrance free, which I love as well. I highly recommend this product. Daniel Kern knows what he’s doing. I look forward to trying more of his products. Awesome!!

Best B.P. I have ever tried.
By Future Mrs. H
I was so depressed when I was using Neutrogena’s 2.5% benzoyl peroxide because my face would always be a dry, peeling, flaky mess no matter what moisturizer I used!! This product is much better. It is still drying, as any B.P. treatment is going to be, but it just glides on so much smoother and is considerably less drying. I get a little bit of dryness but not the peeling, awful-looking skin I had. On top of all of this, it works wonderfully! I feel like my skin actually looks not only clearer but healthier and more vibrant!
