My Fiance and I wanted to have whiter smile for our wedding and we were debating if we should get go to the dentist to get them whitened. But the problem with the dentist is that they are going to over charge you. And we just didn’t have the time with our busy work schedules and also planning a wedding. I purchased this to see if I could save money and get whiter teeth without having to fork over several hundred dollars to my dentist. I want you to know that I was pleasantly surprised by this product. The product was inexpensive, easy to use and most importantly it worked.

Excellent Product!!! Works Fast!!!

Noticed brightening of my teeth after the FIRST treatment. Very satisfied with the product. I am a smoker and coffee drinker. Did not want to go through the expense of teeth whitening at the dentist. Had concerns about doing it at home because of reports of tooth sensitivity. I have used the product twice and noticed improvements after the 1st application. For some reason, i overlooked the fact that it came with the accelerator light. The light is definately a PLUS. No tooth sensitivity. Excellent results. I am thrilled with this purchase and the results that I have had. I will definately be ordering this product again.

The Funniest Show on Television

I bought Curb Your Enthusiasm with one real expections. I am a marine in Iraq and I happen to see it at the local px. I am so glad that I bought it. Everything that happens in the show is hilarious. You find something funny or different every time you watch it, definately an adult comedy. I find myself watching over and over again, not due to a lack of DVD’s I might add (we have plenty). It is like the Seinfeld that you always wanted, but couldn’t play on basic television. You wil either love this show, or not get it at all, if you do get it, it’s a homerun.

I like this show, I recommend the DVD, but can we please be honest about what it is, and why it is good when it is good? The show is marketed as “flinchingly realistic.” It says that on the box, and that seems to be the perception, uncritically repeated in everything written about the show. We are supposed to believe that it is a realistical show because people play themselves and the scenes are adlibbed. But the subplots of the shows are actually very contrived, woven together very formulaically, and all require an astronomical series of coincidences to make them all pull together in each shows finale. The shows remind me more of Fawlty Towers than of Seinfeld, in that each show consists of Larry David reacting to things the way we’d all like to react if we had no frontal lobes, and by the end of the show everyone is angry at the protagonist whether he is trying to do good or harm. There are moments that feel very realistic, and are very entertaining, like Larry David and Richard Lewis adlibbing with each, which Richard Lewis in one of the DVD extras reports is a very authentic and surreal experience. Most of the scenes though, in the service of the plot machinations, require the characters to quickly get infuriated with each other. If it is “flinchingly realistic” at all, it is realistic in the sense of portraying honest human interactions minus the superego. And that is when it’s funny. For example, when Larry David’s manager’s wife asks him if he would like a tour of their new house, and he says no. And Larry David’s reaction to having his in-laws decorate a Christmas tree in his house.

The Best Yet

The third season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is the best yet. I don’t know how one goes up from 5 stars, but somehow they managed to do it. The main characters are the same as from the first two seasons, with Larry David playing himself, Jeff Garlin as Jeff Greene (Larry’s agent), and Cheryl Hines as Cheryl David (Larry’s wife). Also, as with the first two seasons the dialogue is improvised, and the shows focus on a single character (Larry) as opposed to an ensemble as was the case with “Seinfeld”.

As with the first two seasons, there are ten episodes in the season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. This season, the season long plot is Larry investing in a restaurant along with several other people (e.g. Ted Danson, Michael York) and the problems they have along he way (e.g. finding and losing chefs, uniforms for the wait staff, a restaurant critic, etc.). Each episode also has its own plot, which cover a wide variety of subjects such as religion (Christian Science, nativity scenes), Terrorist attacks, mourning, pets, and much more. All the episodes are very funny, but “Krazee-Eyez Killa”, “The Terrorist Attack”, and “The Grand Opening” are not to be missed.

This DVD box set includes 2 DVDs, which have all 10 episodes, as well as a couple of excerpts from the “U.S. Comedy Arts Festival” in which members of the cast and directors discuss the show and their favorite scenes.

It worked for me after just one session!

I am very pleased with my results but I do want to mention to be sure you are wearing the mouthpiece correctly. The first time I used it I saw no results but that was because I did not have the mouth piece in place correctly. My lips were inside so my teeth were not fully exposed. The next time I used it I brought a small mirror along so I could check that all my teeth were exposed. I used the tanning bed for only 7 minutes and saw a big difference! And I want to mention that they say it does not work on veneers. Well, I have veneers on all my front teeth and it worked beautifully! It also helps to find a effective whitening toothpaste to maintain your white teeth. I can’t wait to see how my teeth look after 5 or 6 sessions! I always look for reviews of a product before I buy. Hope that helps someone considering this product.

Worked FAST!

I have used strips on and off, also had my teeth whitened at my dentist years ago. I was pretty shocked that I was able to see such a difference after just one application! My only regret is that I didn’t shop here first, I paid $36.00 at the salon~oh well…it was worth it! Be sure you tell the tanning salon to allow you a couple extra minutes to apply the product and your tanning lotion! And use a mirror to make sure you are putting the product on correctly. AAA+++ Will buy again!

Overall a good product

I saw this product at the tanning salon I frequent for $36! I was pleasantly surprised to find it so much cheaper here. I followed the directions carefully (as another reviewer mentioned, the mouthpiece can be a bit tricky the first time, so use a mirror) and have seen great results. I have used the product about 5-6 times at this point, and I’ve seen far better results than I ever did from the expensive whitening strips I’ve bought at the pharmacy. My teeth were not terribly yellow to begin with, but they were a bit dingy and this has brightened them up! I give the product 4 stars (not 5) because, as another reviewer mentioned, the photo is misleading. I did not know what to expect in the order because there is no picture showing you the mouthpiece or tube of whitener. I expected several boxes, simply because that is what the photo displays. Sellers should change the photos and give more detail as to what, exactly, is included with your order.

Some Pointers from the official PDF Instructions

This product works great. The 35% solution is much stronger than the other versions, and hence, you don’t need to leave it applied for so long. The unofficial directions I received with my order said you can leave on the 35% Opalescence for up to two hours. However, the PDF instruction sheet that you can download directly from the Opalescence website, says specifically to not leave the 35% applied for more than a half an hour.

I would recommend that new users keep the solution on for less time in the beginning, gradually building up tolerance. The PF version also contains fluoride to help control sensitivity.

When first using the 35%, I left it on for about two hours, and I did experience some sensitivity. The sensitivity went away in a day or two, no problem. After using it a few more times, I am now able to leave it on for about two hours with no sensitivity whatsoever. I cannot imagine trying to sleep with trays in, because you definitely don’t want to swallow any of this stuff. That’s one of the main benefits of using the stronger 35% solution: Reduced tray wear time.

Since you won’t be licking your lips or swallowing for a while, I like to apply a bit of chapstick to my lips, and have a good drink of water before getting started.

The PDF instruction sheet from the Opalescence website also states that you should use approximately one third to one half (total) of a syringe worth of solution to fill both trays. Good to know.

To target specific stains, I add a little extra to that spot on the tray, and I apply a bit of solution directly to my teeth. The syringe makes it easy to put the product right where you want it. Don’t bother putting solution on the back of the trays, because no one is going to look at the back of your teeth.

The date codes were explained to me this way: The numbers indicate a month and year of expiration. For instance, V023 indicates that the product expires in February of 2013. The seller I bought from was Jawtooth.

As far as trays go, a standard custom mouth guard worked well, though obviously custom fitted trays from your dentist will work better. The mouth guards can be had for about a buck a piece in retail stores, but if you buy them on Amazon, you get three for under two bucks. Nice to have an extra in case of a misfitting.

The results this product produces are fantastic. I had a dentist ask me if my teeth were caps. (they’re not) No kidding. I will use this product for as long as Amazon sells it. There is no reason whatsoever to waste your time and money on store bought white strips, solutions, toothpaste, or mouthwash. This product really does whiten your teeth much better.

Hope my experience makes using the product a bit easier and less intimidating for you. I’ll update if I think of anything else helpful or relevant.

When I first tried the 35% it burned my gums . Now I paint the whitening on my teeth with a tiny paint brush and then put the trays on my teeth & no burning they can stay on for 2 hours with no problem.
