The Ultimate Cleanse

I tried this product for the purpose of cleansing only. I had a wonderful addition since I lost a few inches around the stomach while cleansing. I took 2 sets of pills each morning and found that I had to take a bathroom break after each meal. I watched my intake of food and found this product worked very well for me. Good Luck!

Great, but not ultimate

This is a terrific cleanse. I could actually feel toxins leaving through my eyes and ears. (Burning pain) and it caused me to have the symptoms of a cold while toxins left my sinuses and lungs. I highly recommend this product. I do not feel, however that it is a total cleanse. In order to have that, one must also fast. I believe the lemonade fast is the best total cleanse, but before hand, one should take a milder cleanse to keep from going through a health crisis as so many toxins leave your system. If you plan on going through a more thorough cleanse afterward, or if you just want a great cleanser, I believe this is a great product. To get the best results, while on the cleanse, stay away from processed foods, fried foods, milk products and beef. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

Works as claimed!

I have been on the product for 3 weeks as of this writing; and, it works as it claims. I am regular for the first time in memory ( I am 62). I definitely feel less bloating,less cramping, and thankfully, less constipation. My personal regimen is to take 1 herbal and 1 fiber the first thing in the morning before breakfast. I am good for the day. I have more energy and I like the way my GI tract is on a normal balance each day.

“Derek is allergic to the product and he’s come out in a red rash all over his face – must I call the doctor?” He’s in the shower now attempting to cool down a bit!

This was an urgent call from the wife of a client that was going through what is called a “Niacin Flush”, a somewhat uncomfortable, hot prickly sensation, almost like pins and needles, that is ordinarily more prominent around the face area or the back of the hands.

What causes these sensations and why do some persons have it more than others? Before I answer those questions, let me say that the Niacin Flush is beneficial for our health and is not something to be dire in any way. In fact some persons in Asian countries will book themselves into a health clinic where part of the treatment is to induce this symptom by receiving huge doses of Niacin which is Vitamin B3. Niacin causes the capillaries, which are the smallest of our blood vessels, to enlarge in size and thereby concede a rush of blood to flow through.

These tiny vessels are so little that Blood cells may only travel through them in single file. You might compare them to the size of a hair. Part of the Capillaries role is to nourish the cells and carry away toxins and waste. Now, add to this equation the fact that a lot of the toxins in the body are stored in fat cells.

These fat cells hold on to toxins to protect the organs, at times for years. Heavy stressful exercise or galore other event may cause the fat cells to give up their toxins and when this happens, they may begin tardily leaching out into the surrounding tissues. This escape of toxins into tissue is poisoning your scheme constantly.

With their cargo of toxins, these fat cells are always within a millimetre of a good deal of capillary, but if that capillary is clogged (as they very ofttimes are), and if the blood cells move through them only one cell at a time, then you may see that there is not much prospect for those toxins to be flushed away by the flow of blood.

Imagine then, the gains of taking a vitamin that would enlarge the capillaries so as to grant more blood to flow through, and that has no not wanted side effects. In fact, niacin does this by causing these miles of tiny capillaries to potentially double in size. This increase in size and the ensuing rush of blood is portion of the reason for the reddening of the skin – this is cleansing at it is best and most visible!

Now that the capillaries have been given a helping hand, they are better competent to do their occupation of removing waste merchandise from the body and will get started to give rise to “Histamine” as share of the process. Histamine causes that uncomfortable itchy feeling.

If you take niacin and don’t experience a flush, it may be that your capillaries are too far gone to be helped, or very likely, that you don’t have a lot of toxins ready to be got rid of at that time. You will soon begin to feel the health gains from the increased blood flow, taking the critical nutrients to areas that have been deprived, and eliminating those toxins that cause illness, fatigue and disease.

Niacin is a very important share of any detox and will have to be employed in conjunction with a regular healthful cleansing system. Do remember, that cleansing is and will have to be “a way of life” and not the quick repair that we have all come to suppose these days. Twenty, thirty or fifty years of neglect can’t be rectified in a week or a month, but persevere, and the long term gains for your health will be amazing. Derek pulled through his “FLUSH” episode by the way, and is now a Niacin convert. As usual: Go tardily when starting on Niacin or any new supplements if you are on medication and ask your Doctor’s counsel if you are unsure.

Expensive, poorly written

The Body-Smart System promises much but the delivery is questionable, coming at a high price to the consumer. The shopping list for week one alone cost over $400.00 to fill and even then was found to be incomplete. Many of the items listed were available only in quantities that caused a very expensive surplus of things I do not need as the program dropped my already low blood pressure to a point I had to abandon the whole thing. The noticeable errors in the text and recipes caused one to doubt the credibility of the rest of the book.

Amazing book, wonderful recipes, healthy, healthy, healthy!

I first bought this book and did the diet 9 years ago. My hairdresser at the time was very much into healthy, organic living, even down to the hair color and perm solutions she used on me! She suggested this book for me because I wanted to lose a little weight before my wedding. I saw her for facials and massage to compliment the program as well. Needless to say, I lost the weight and then some! My energy was amazing and my muscle tone was great! The book is easy to follow, and fun! The recipes are so good I’ve incorporated many into my regular cooking. The information is truly valuable, and to be honest, this book is one of my most prized possessions!
