A Great Book For Everyone!

This is a great book for everyone! The information in this book is so simple that even a novice won’t have trouble with startin the Master Cleanse Fast. Peter Glickman has done a stand-out job on this book with the help he gives us, the readers. I mean, this guy (Mr. Glickman) really shows us that he really cares about our health. He gives great insight on the reason we’re fatigued and over-weight, and it pays for us to take heed to the information in this great book. If you’ve haven’t yet attempted to do a cleanse, please try it, you won’t be sorry, but you’ll lose weight, have more energy and be happier in 10 days!!!

PS–I’ve done one 21-day cleanse and I lost a total of 33 lbs, so it does work, you just have to be patient. Don’t forget your Smooth Move Laxative Tea. The salt-water thingy was yucksville to me, but if you can hack the salt-water, you’ll find that it’s excellent. Just plan to stay around the house for at least an hour or so after intake!

Buy this book if you are doing the Master Cleanse

This book is informative and helpful. I cannot see doing the MC properly without it. In it FAQ’s are addressed and it hits on a wide array of other topics/issues all dealing with the Master Cleanse! Plus there is even a part that shows what people have experienced from Day 1 – Day 10, which is necessary when you feel like giving up.

Don’t do the MC without this book or, of course, the original.

If there is ONE book to read, this is IT.

I started my first Master Cleanse and thank Gosh my co worker lent me this book or I would have done what the author Peter Glickman says happens too frequently if you don’t have this book….you don’t have a reference on the ingredients, the measurements and the Answers to all of our Questions… and there are certainly questions. I was skeptical at first, but I am on Day 5 and i dont know how much weight I have lost ( I didnt want to know my weight before – very depressing) but I no longer have my gut and I dont have to suck it in anymore. My pants are now a bit loose when before they were tight as heck! and this is only been 4 days…. If you care about someone who has health problems I would suggest this book. I am already seeing improvements on some health issues that I was experiencing.

This cleanse will truly JUMP START your life!!!

I first read Kathy’s book, Quantum Wellness, and was very moved by all that Kathy has to say and how kindly and non-judgementally she expresses herself and the ideas in her book. She urges people to live a more happy and healthy life, through living, thinking, and eating consciously. It wasn’t until this book came into my life, that I really decided to do the 21 Day Cleanse. I have never done anything better for myself and I thank Kathy so much for this.

The “cleanse” is not really a cleanse in the way that celebrities and news people are talking about today. I view it more as a meal plan, which takes the stigma out of cleansing or dieting, as it really is what her cleanse is about. Once I got over the initial, “What on earth will I do without caffeine, animal products, and sugar?!” I went to the grocery store and stocked up on everything that Kathy suggests. There was SO much that I could eat, and I didn’t even get everything the first-go round. (I highly recommend having all of the foods on hand so that you don’t want to fall back to old habits….this makes doing the cleanse super easy!)

I have never slept better in my life, and wake up with so much energy and ready to take on the world. No caffeine necessary. (after the first few days or so….) My skin looks so much better (I keep getting so many compliments on how I am glowing) and I feel amazing. Not to mention the fact that I have already lost 4 pounds and all of my clothes fit better. I look and feel great; mind, body, and spirit.

If you want to change your life for the better (or just lose weight, or just feel good!), I HIGHLY recommend this book and this cleanse. And if you can’t do 21 days, do 7 days or whatever you can, as Kathy recommends. Trust me, it’s the best thing you’ll ever do.

Quantum shift in food focus was an excellent kickstart

Heard about this book on the TV morning news, but I’m not an Oprah fan so I did not rely on her promotion of the book. The phrase “Quantum cleanse” grabbed me — I needed a kick in the pants lifestyle change; I’m not one for slow gradual programs. So I just did a cold turkey start two weeks ago — no alcohol, no caffeine, no glutens, no sugar, no animal products. I’m in my final week. Sleeping better, more energy all day long (no 4-5pm tiredness) and lost 6lbs in the first 10 days. Note — I did not read much if any on the spiritual/mind/meditation aspects of the book. Not for me. I just went straight to the food focus and (limited) recipes. Had a three-day headache from dropping caffeine, then no problems. The “no gluten” rule is the hardest one to work into the program because it is in too many things I like. Try quinoa — excellent food and super nutritious. I’m not into self-help books and I was not sure how a former Ford model would be an expert in such things, but hey — I commend her as it worked for me. If only for the food part of the book — I am recommending it to my friends and colleagues. I’m sure a ton of other health/diet books have the same “drop it” rules, but this is the one book that actually got me doing it, so kudo 5 stars for the food rules (but only 3 stars for the other spiritual stuff).

Very do-able cleanse

This book takes a common sense approach to healthy cruelty-free eating. It also addresses a lot of the weak points in the diets of many Americans such as alcohol,caffeine, sugar, meat and dairy etc. If you can give up these things for 21 days you may just be able to give them up forever. The menus at the end are very sensible and do not include any extremes in calorie restrictions. The only thing that didn’t “click” with me were the meditation exercises but you can substitute your own way of meditating. I would recommend this book to people new to cleanses or to someone considering going vegan.

The first week with this seem to be okay but on the second week I was getting bad stomach pains. I stopped using it for a while and they went a way.

Then when I resumed usising it again they came back so I was afraid to keep using it. I am not sure if it was my stomach or intestines but either way it was not an experience that I want to go through again.

This product is fantastic.

I was once at a health spa, and one of the people there put together a mixture of herbs that naturally aid the digestive system. Speaking frankly, she said if you eat three times a day, you should go three times a day. This product listed many of the same herbs she used in her mixture. Unlike laxatives, which clean you out in an aggressive manner, this works in a very mild way and just helps you to go naturally. I have never experienced any cramping or negative issues associated with this product. I endorse it as a healthy way to help you become “regular”. I don’t personally believe that “cleanse” products will rid your body of toxins, or help you to lose weight. But, for going regularly, this is an EXCELLENT product. And Amazon offers them for a great price.

Not so sure….

I’ve been taking the Colonix and the Toxinout for a month and a half. I started out thinking I would do the whole three months (I was exposed to serious toxins and have been trying anything and everything possible to help return to normal functioning), but I think I’m about done for the time being.

Not sure what I think about this product

I read many reviews of this product prior to my purchase. I don’t think that I had any where near the positive results of the reviews I read. I know that they say to use it for at least a month but, I got a large rash on my stomach, my head hurt daily and I just didn’t feel right. I stopped using it after two weeks. I might try it again just to finish it because it was relatively expensive and I may be too cheap to not finish it for that reason alone!

Convenient, but overpriced.

It would be extremely convenient to get this set for your first master cleanse. The items are all correct to maximize your results, and it takes much of the guesswork out of the equation for beginners. My only issue is that similar items can be purchased somewhere like Whole Foods for far less, around $40 individually. Still, beginners who are unfamiliar with what to buy could do far worse than this set.

Everything I needed. Great quality!

I did the Master Cleanse for 20 days and this kit had everything I needed for a great price and at Amazon’s very low shipping cost it was a great deal. These are the highest quality products recommended and while you may certainly deviate, I chose to follow the advice of thousands of others (catalogued in Peter Glickman’s book, Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days) who had already done the Master Cleanse. You may find these products in high quality health food stores in big cities (though probably not at this package deal!). I live in a rural area and so obtaining these items online was more convenient for me.

This really works

I did The Master Cleanse for 10 days about 6 months ago and I can tell you it really works. I felt great! I am now living in an extremely remote place and tried to do this again but failed after the first couple of days, but I think it was because I wasn’t using the prescribed ingredients. I couldn’t find Senna tea, so I used laxative pills. I had sea salt, but not the right kind, and I also didn’t have Grade B organic maple syrup, just regular Grade A. I am wanting to try this again, so this time I’m ordering this kit, which seems like a fair price since it includes everything you need. Only thing I have to say about this kit is that you could probably use more like 80 oz. of syrup, not 64.

Overall, give this cleanse a fair shot and I promise you will not be disappointed!

acai jucie extreem works for me

I have been using this product for 5 months now and am getting ready to buy my third set of 3 bottles. I love the fact that I get more energy with this but alos the antioxidants of a quality acai are not to be ignored. Antioxidants are important at fighting free radicals that can cause cancer. People are exposed to cancer causing things all the time, every day and having a strong defense set up is really a great approach is a nice way to go. I am still very overweight but was that way before I started. I have lost 37 pounds over the last 5 months but this isnt just from this product. I have also been improving my eating habbits and sometimes walking during lunch as well.

It is hard to find pure acai products like this one. I really am carefully with what I take. I am on my third bottle and have enjoyed a nice energy boost that I especially see in the afternoons. I take 1 with breakfast and 1 with lunch and it seems to work out nice. I have lost a dcent amount of fat around my gut and legs but don’t own a scale to do any measuring. Acai is a nice antioxidant alos. I will be back for more.

Welcome the challenge!

I just got the book 3 days ago. I am only on day three, but the information in this book is eye opening. Jillian covers everything from hormones and metabolism, supplements like hoodia, even the master cleanse.

I saw the review below and can’t help but wonder if that person actually read the book. There ARE in fact 3 separate 30 day menu plans. One for each oxidizer type (slow, balanced, and fast). For that reason, 1 plan will ask for non-fat cottage cheese and another will ask for low fat. Those two ingredients are not on the same meal plan and they are also on separate grocery lists (of which there are 3, one for fast, balanced, and slow).

Jillian goes on to explain that the recipes make up to 10 – 12 servings for the following reasons: Most women don’t want to make separate meals for their families. Also, the book allots each reader with and individualized calorie allowance. As some of the recipes are very low calorie, some people doing the plan will require up to 5 servings of each recipe. Last, if you are like me, always on the run and finding it difficult to cook every night this book will solve your problem. This way you will have healthy food prepared when you are pressed for time. All that said, she specifically mentions in the book that if you want to make less food you can simply cut the ingredients in half and the meal will still come out perfectly making half the servings.

With regard to the workouts: There are over 100 separate exercises in the book and less then 10 of them require gym equipment. The workouts seem predominantly designed to utilize body weight exercises (no gym required).

The workouts do seem tough, that is for sure. However, you can easily modify the exercises to accomodate your fitness level. Jillian offers over 8 variations of plank exercise, 11 different variations of lunges, 8 variations of push ups, and 8 variations of squats just to name a few. For those that don’t have a treadmill accessible she offers up over 10 different types of cardio intervals that require no equipment like mountain climbers, butt kicks, squat jacks etc.

As for not being able to tackle weeks 3 and 4 of the workouts on day 1, I think that is the whole point. In order to lose weight quickly you must progress your fitness level quickly. For example, the contestants on Biggest Loser couldn’t walk around the block on day 1 and by day 7 she seems to have them running miles and doing push ups. This is why she instructs you to follow the plan religiously. I assume that by doing the workouts from week 1 and week 2 you will be ready to take on weeks 3 and 4, hence the books promise of delivering “the best shape of your life”.

I love Jillian. I have been a fan of hers sine season one of Biggest Loser. I listen to her radio show religiously and trust her advice. I use her dvd’s and have gotten amazing results. I love this book so far and although it’s no walk in the park, I welcome the challenge.

If you want to know how people like Vanessa Marcil go from having a baby to getting back on the cover of Maxim in only a few months, get this book.

The scary part: the workout is challenging and I can’t even sit on the toilet I am so sore, but the diet is a no fail. Jillian literally walks you through every second of your day for a month. From exercising, eating, sleeping, supplements you name it. She leaves you no room for error.

I have been doing her plan for exactly 1 week today and weighed in this morning 8 POUNDS LIGHTER! After a week!

I lost 32 pounds utilizing her first book, “Winning by Losing.” I’ve maintained my loss for almost a year, in part, by listening to her weekly radio show. She won my loyalty long ago, because this woman KNOWS HER STUFF! I have now used this product for about 4 years now. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have suffered from UC for 15 years and this product has made my life more normal than ever! I take it once in the morning 1/2 hour before I eat and my day is not spent running to the bathroom. It coats the colon and makes things so much easier to digest. Tinker with the juice you mix it with. I mix mine with grapefruit juice. It says to mix with Aloe vera but you don’t have to. Apple or cranberry works too make sure to also stir it up really well, drink and chase it with a cup full of water. It works, try it!

Gentler than many psyllium products

Aerobic Life makes two types of psyllium powders, and this version is the gentler of the two. I have had digestive trouble since college, and a nutritionist recommended “Fy-Blend,” which was great, until the company that made it went out of business. A local hand crafting herbalist will sell me eight ounces of her psyllium-herb combination for $32 per unit, which works well but is tremendously expensive. So ABC Bulk Cleanse Colon Cleanse is the best choice and does a good job.

On the plus side, the psyllium is ground very fine. Many psyllium products that say they are ground are still very coarse. And my inefficient digestive system has a hard time with that! This product really is a finely powdered psyllium, which is easier on my digestive tract and—uh—keeps things running smoothly. This formulation contains SOOTHING herbs rather than stimulating herbs. It contains hibiscus, licorice root, and others, and these types of herbs help relax your digestive tract and be less inflamed.

My only complaint/concern is that the batches are not always uniform. I sometimes get a new unit and I can see that it is slightly different than the unit I bought last month. It’s the same ingredients, but the proportions are different.

Oh wait, another niggle: This product looks a lot like Aerobic Life’s other psyllium product, ABC MAX, which also has a similar name. The other one has got black walnut, onion, garlic, yellow dock and other, stronger herbs designed to propel stuff along a sluggish system. If, like me, you have a digestive tract that is easily inflamed, you do not want ABC MAX. The Aerobic Cleanse Company, in fact, has a lot of packaging design problems. They have about six different packages with the exact same or similar names. But this product, ABC Aerobic Bulk Cleanse, Colon Cleanse, is a gentle, effective psyllium and herb product that helps soothe the digestive tract while acting as a gentle agent to keep things moving.
